Do You Trust The News Media?

obviously, trump doesn't.

but do you?

do you think that they are generally fair, unbiased and honest?.

It never fails to amaze me that so many folks who lived their lives in a cult being BSed, are so ready to embrace spoon fed information. Why would any one source be good enough? And how in the heck could anyone base an opinion on the verified lies of the likes of Fox News, Breitbart, Infowars etc. etc.? None of this stuff is hard to fact check, unless the point is that it confirms your own bias and you are unwilling to look at facts.

But why not discuss specifics Min? Why just say do you trust the news media? How about an actual issue that we can present facts and figures for? Or are you afraid to delve? Might prove ya wrong?

What is the basis for advising “Don’t pursue higher studies”?

two elders who visited my friend last week encouraged her not to pursue higher studies.

it seems they are dishing out the same old stuff: “the end is imminent, and this is the time to do more in the service; hence don’t waste your resources on higher studies.”.

i wonder whether there was some official communiqué (something that is sent out recently like letter to the elders, or kingdom ministry article …).

Indeed. I was going to link to some news articles on that very subject (also the missing ex MI6 and his suspected collaborator in Russia who was found dead in the back seat of his car a likely victim of the Kremlin). But..........it will change no ones mind, even IF they actually bothered to read.

CNN did not advertise. They reported on Trump receiving a synopsis of memos that were circulating in Congress and the intelligence community. They said several times they would not give the details because they could not be corroborated by independent sources. This is not fake news. It is journalism. It's the Free Press spoken of in the First Amendment. It's up to us to be discerning about what we believe. Trump and the GOP have been poisoning the well for a very long time, and you are falling for it. You have now decided the only information that you will consider is only information that is complimentary to Trump. How do you expect to get to the truth like that??

I too am curious just what fake news stories CNN is pushing?

What lies by Hillary and her surrogates are you referring to? It's so easy to make these blanket statements without talking fact checkable specifics.

Trump and his have done their job well. Now any negative reporting on Trump is just the media lying. My gosh you'd think at least a bunch of ex Jws would know better.

Just to clarify, all politicians deceive and embellish.

One of the first steps in the furthering of Fascism, is control of the media. Look at how the JWs demonized any information that didn't agree with them. Trump is doing it now. He says the media is unfair or lies and boom his supporters refuse to listen to any facts that contradict Trump.

Illegal immigration is at it's lowest point in years, and Obama was criticized heavily for deportations. How is that a revolving door?

FAIR is an anti immigration group. Their calculations on the cost of illegal immigration have been deemed highly qestionable.

So, the Womens March ... What Is It For?

it seems like mobilizing after the election, which seems pointless.

i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?

... and the election happened already.. is anyone else confused?
