What is the basis for advising “Don’t pursue higher studies”?
by venus intwo elders who visited my friend last week encouraged her not to pursue higher studies.
it seems they are dishing out the same old stuff: “the end is imminent, and this is the time to do more in the service; hence don’t waste your resources on higher studies.”.
i wonder whether there was some official communiqué (something that is sent out recently like letter to the elders, or kingdom ministry article …).

most are untrustworthy and that's a shame.

Indeed. I was going to link to some news articles on that very subject (also the missing ex MI6 and his suspected collaborator in Russia who was found dead in the back seat of his car a likely victim of the Kremlin). But..........it will change no ones mind, even IF they actually bothered to read.

Once again, if I said Outlaw has urinated with hookers on the bed that Obama slept in and it was OBVIOUSLY UNTRUE, and all CNN did was simply report to the world these unsubstantiated reports,pardon the pun but I think you would be pissed"
CNN did not advertise. They reported on Trump receiving a synopsis of memos that were circulating in Congress and the intelligence community. They said several times they would not give the details because they could not be corroborated by independent sources. This is not fake news. It is journalism. It's the Free Press spoken of in the First Amendment. It's up to us to be discerning about what we believe. Trump and the GOP have been poisoning the well for a very long time, and you are falling for it. You have now decided the only information that you will consider is only information that is complimentary to Trump. How do you expect to get to the truth like that??

I too am curious just what fake news stories CNN is pushing?
What lies by Hillary and her surrogates are you referring to? It's so easy to make these blanket statements without talking fact checkable specifics.
Trump and his have done their job well. Now any negative reporting on Trump is just the media lying. My gosh you'd think at least a bunch of ex Jws would know better.
Just to clarify, all politicians deceive and embellish.

One of the first steps in the furthering of Fascism, is control of the media. Look at how the JWs demonized any information that didn't agree with them. Trump is doing it now. He says the media is unfair or lies and boom his supporters refuse to listen to any facts that contradict Trump.
Illegal immigration is at it's lowest point in years, and Obama was criticized heavily for deportations. How is that a revolving door?
FAIR is an anti immigration group. Their calculations on the cost of illegal immigration have been deemed highly qestionable.

i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?

I can tell you exactly what it was about. We believe him. And quite frankly if you have been following his cabinets picks and executive orders in the last few days, we are right to. Issues at stake are equal rights and protections under the law for everyone. Climate Change. Education. Clean food and water. An economy that works for ALL. Etc. etc. etc. We were there to say we are watching. We are engaged, and we are not going to stand by quietly while the progress of the last hundred years is dismantled.
