New WTS end date - 2034?
by campaign of hate inso i already made an introductory thread where i said hello and mentioned my feelings toward 2034 being the wts new end date.. we get the year 2034 from matt 24:37 & luke 17:26. the wt commented on the "days of noah" in a qfr article 2010 12/15.
where its stated: "it is logical, therefore, to conclude that genesis 6:3 expresses gods resolve to end the corrupt system of things on earth.
jehovah issued a judicial decree to do so in 120 years, though noah was not yet aware of that.

That's 19 years from now. We won't hear anything about it for another 10 years or so. Have to keep things urgent for the sheeples. -

Awesome movie: "THE GIVER". This is a MUST WATCH for witnesses and those breaking free from the WT!!!
by stuckinarut2 inyou have to watch the movie "the giver"!
it is simply an awesome movie for every thinking witness, or those trying to break free from the org's hold on us.. i wont give away too much, but the concept of the film is mind blowing!
utopia vs reality etc... conformity vs individuality and humanity... etc.

Will the WTS follow the McDonald's corporate model?
by sir82 inas most people know, mcdonald's derives the principal part of its earnings, not from greasy food, but from real estate.. they buy property, then, in addition to charging franchisees for the right to use their name, they charge them rent for the building sitting on corporately-owned real estate.. this business model yields well over $20 billion per year in gross revenue.. could this be the idea behind the soon-to-come revamp of the rbcs into ldcs?
the wts will purchase property and charge its "franchisees" (the congregations) a fee to use the building on the site?.
of course, it wouldn't be called a "franchise fee" or even "rent", it would be named something like a "voluntary contribution to support kingdom interests" or some such folderol.. any "non-performing" congregations would get shut down and/or merged, and the property sold.

Any real estate gurus out there? Could a non-profit religious entity get away with charging an (in essence) franchise fee / rent for property it owns?
Why not? None of the members will vocally object even though they know they are getting hosed.

NEW LIGHT FROM SLO CIRCUIT OVERSEER "Warning, Blood on Doorposts", "The Couple who Missed One Meeting Died With Their Kids, Don't Miss Any!
by Trailer Park Pioneer insorry, i messed up before i could put the right title on this new light from our circuit overseer, his visit show's a great desperation in the organization's mindset, adding more anxiety and guilt to jws who already feel they don't measure up!.
hi, i attended the circuit overseers visit and got really angry because our c.o.
gave information coming from the governing body's chief apologists regarding "meeting attendance" and "the couple who missed one meeting and lost their entire family because they did not get the "411" when armageddon was coming!

Kingdom Consolidation and Sales are coming – Reliable Source
by thedepressedsoul ini heard form a reliable source that a kingdom hall consolidation is going to be happening in the us.
currently they are looking at every kingdom hall to see if they could and should sell it.
any kingdom hall that has not been updated and is in a bad location (long driveway, not in a visible location etc...) will be sold.

hoser
I can't think of any at my hall who would be willing to travel to another hall if the local one got sold.
Splash
you'd be surprised what jehovahs witnesses will do

Who Benefits from the Multi-Billion Dollar Real Estate Empire that is WT?

In a way myself and mrs hoser benefit from the watchtower's real estate empire.
We donated about ten thousand dollars for the purpose of renovating our local Kingdom Hall just for it to be sold out from under us less than a year later and the monies sent to headquarters.
How did it benefit us? I woke up to the con game they are playing with real estate. We won't ever give them another dime

Are Jehovah's Witnesses ever "good enough", must they remain anxious and fragile for fear they will not be saved by their works?
by Trailer Park Pioneer inas a jehovah's witness you know you can never do enough without hearing stories of another witness doing twice what your doing and living off half the money your living on because they give all their time and money to the watchtower.
this is totally bunk, reading romans 7:21-24 paul knew his condition was hopeless without the free gift from god.
paul put all his emphasis on jesus christ, not some self-appointed apostles whose proof offered up is over 150 years of failed prophecy!

Yes, it is a motivational system based on guilt. Take away the guilt and the Jehovah's Witness religion would fall apart.
That is why, in my opinion, the watchtower organization is so against anything that can increase a persons self esteem. They are against hobbies, recreation and higher learning. If people feel good about themselves by outside means they won't strive to feel adequate by engaging in watchtower activities.

Is Watchtower's stance against education only for North American witnesses
by wannaexit ini was reading on a european ex jw forum where some feel that watchtower's railing against higher education is primarily for north america issue.
this is due that many in usa and canada leave home to leave on campus.
it was mentioned that many young european jw attend universities and its not frowned on.. i found this odd because i heard what morris and losch said about education in italy.

Australian Jehovah's Witnesses seem to be better educated than North Americans Jws too. Maybe the Americans and Canadians started saying if they can why can't we.
