We are going back 50 years or so. When I was a kid we ordered everything from the sears catalogue. It showed up about a week later in the mail or at the sears depot in our rural town.
Today we order on line. The stuff I order shows up a week later in the mail or on my doorstep.

The Telephone we take for granted!
by TerryWalstrom inmarch 10, 1876: “mr.
watson —come here—i want to see you” the voice of alexander graham bell is transmitted.
he wasn't the first to invent it but the first to own a patent.. in 1910 telephone "subscribers" had 4 digit telephone numbers.soon, larger cities had 5 digit numbers.mark twain was one of the first to have a phone in his home.. the first phones had no dials or buttons.

To big to fail
by pepperheart insome people think the watchtower is to big to fail.
i dont because a lot of the branch offices around the world (about 70 i think) are in the third world they are not paying the full cost of running them and so the american branch is having to find the money,so if they got $1 billion dollars betwwen 70 branches that is only$ 25 million a year.per branch.if each branch has 500 people working there and they spend just $1 a day for food each person that works out at £35,000 just for the food alone .

I think trump is the best president Canada will ever have. He doesn’t want to do business with us anymore so it will unite us as a country as never before.
We have ports on three oceans with excess capacity. We will do business east, west and north

The "Whole World" was flooded??
by stuckinarut2 inso, jehovah's witnesses and many other biblical literalists think that the "whole world" was flooded during noahs day.. they take the "accounts" in genesis literally.
so that means that areas as far away as australia, russia, argentina, greenland, antarctica were all visited by noah and his family to gather animals and preach before it happened right??
they then took everything back to the middle east to board the ark...uh huh.... yet, the same expression in the bible for the "whole world" is also used in the account about the "worldwide famine" in josephs day!

There is a talk outline that has the illustration of the bristlecone pine and how it is 4850 years old. The flood happened 4350 years ago. So unless these pine trees in the mountains of California can hold their breath for a long time the whole world was not under water.
