  one of our friends in canada posted the following message to their circle of friends.

  "in our meeting last night, the coordinator read a letter from the canadian branch about the reorganized territories.

  all the territories in the fraser valley from hope to vancouver, about a hundred miles in all, have been reorganized to create larger congregations and improve the use of kingdom halls.

  As perverse as it sounds we need a war or a major economic depression in this country.

  There are way too many thankless, entitled snowflakes and princesses out there. Many Canadians under the age of 60 don’t appreciate what a great country we live in. Some are seeking to destroy our country. Others have become complacent and expect to be catered to.

  There is a problem with the justice system in Canada. People are taking the law into their own hands as the system is for the criminals and not the victims of crime.

  Funeral/Memorial at the Kingdom Hall ... Would you go?

  let's say an aunt or uncle dies.

  let's say you barely knew them.. let's say their memorial service was held at the kingdom hall.. let's say if you attend, you have to deal with shunning from family and jws, and you are forced listen to them present their paradise promotional materials, and the dead person's "earthly hope™", and let's face it ... the heeby-jeebies of having to be in a kingdom hall again.. would you put yourself through it?

  i'm being serious, i would like to hear from folks here that support him describe to me how that news conference was absolute brilliance, he answered all the questions, he knows what he is talking about.

  just want to compare note with those who aren't his supporters (and have common sense) as you know this forum is here to hear both sides, so, have at it .

  Don’t kid yourself Simon. The United States have some of the most generous agricultural subsidies on the planet. If Canada didn’t have supply management we would have to heavily subsidize dairy and poultry. Maybe that is the way to go. Heavily subsidize these producers like the US does. It might keep Trump happy.

  Either way we pay. Higher milk prices or higher taxes to pay the farmers to stay in business.

  His news conference may have been brilliant but I’m not sure what his end game is with NAFTA and trade with China. Everyone should be prepared to accept a lower standard of living.

  I am in the process of spending $150,000.00 on equipment upgrades and I bought Canadian. My suppliers have been US based but I can’t risk Donald’s unpredictable ways. I can’t get partway through a deal and Trump decides to change the rules. My US suppliers understand. They are scared too.
