These areas have a higher population density than central USA and Canada and the east coast was settled earlier. It seems to me you feel that innovators vote liberal. I don’t agree with that.

Why Does So Much Intellectual Innovation in the US Tend to Come from the East or West Coasts ???
by RubaDub inthere are many good universities in the central part of the us but why do so many innovative things, i.e.
silicon valley, seem to happen on one side of the country or the other (california, new york, massachusetts to name a few)?
even what is considered the most high tech area in the center of the country, austin texas, is a huge liberal bastion.

Is wifi sensitivity the new chemical sensitivity?
by purrpurr inseveral of the jws i know have recently graduated/incorporated wifi sensitivity into their (self) diagnosis of chemical sensitivity.
they seem to be particularly terrified of the new 5g, with some even believing that it's the new 5g that's causing coronavirus in china.
the fact that even though they maybe able to turn off their own wifi but will still have all the other wifi signals around them doesn't seem to occur to these jws.

I personally think persons with these kinds of illnesses want a free pass to get out of attending meetings and going in field service.

Iowa Democratic Caucus - Just WOW
by Simon inthere was a babylon bee or onion spoof article a few weeks back claiming the democrats would lose their own caucus and ... well, they managed to do it for real.. apparently they can't count their own votes, their app and process is now steeped in corruption (created by a company called 'shadow' that has taken money from multiple candidates as well as the dnc and has links to clinton) and multiple candidates have declared themselves the winner.
biden has apparently done so badly that he's going to court to block the results being announced.
no estimate of when they will be released even.. how do they come up with this ... and what does it mean for the election results where they oversee the counts?.

Dumb things JWs believed
by JimmyYoung ini am not talking about the usual crap from the cult writings, but rather things idiots believed on their own.
maybe even helped on by the cult but not directly taught.
i knew an old man now long gone kunde in michigan.

I actually feel sorry for some of these people. A lot of these illnesses and quirks are psychosomatic caused by the pressure of surviving in the cult.

It’s so easy to fall through the cracks in a big congregation. Vidiot might be on to something. They just don’t want the half ass believers.

We went to one about 5 or 6 years ago. They had the meeting out in the middle of BFN at an assembly hall. It was a the end is near but we need money special meeting. Some of the further away congregations chartered busses to get there. It was very successful in that people were lined up to put their money in the contribution boxes.

I think they have always exaggerated numbers
That statement reminds me of how Soviet Russia fudged the numbers to show that they produced “many, many potatoes” but when the residents went to the store there were no potatoes.

Not invited to congregation “get togethers”. They finally said it
by solomon inwe don’t get many invitations to congregational social gatherings.
we don’t attend midweek meetings and miss about 1/3 of sunday meetings.
we go in service at least once a month.

@ Dozy
Some of the other more self righteous elders got to hear of it and one night a week or so before the party came the dreaded "knock at the door" and two elders turned up. They were pretty nervous and told me that the elders had met and decided ( by majority ) to rescind my invitation.
That experience is the equivalent of quitting your job and a week later your boss showing up at your door to say you’ve been fired.

Does the org have their own real estate firms?
There is a “brother” in our town who is a realtor. He handles all the Kingdom Hall sales in our region.

The numbers don’t add up where I live. I would say that 25 percent of the congregations have closed in Canada in the last 20 years and the Kingdom Halls have been sold off.
The borg hasn’t reported numbers decreasing but where are all the people? Our circuit used to have 2 assemblies with 800 attending each side. We now have one assembly with 1100 to 1200 attending. That indicates a 25% decrease at least where I live.
