Follow the money. I think I said it here before. The car salesman contacts you to convince you the car he sold you two years ago is unreliable. You bite, he sells you a new one and then tries to convince you the one you just bought might break down and you need to purchase extended warranty.

The reason they are building is that the end is so soon. With all the resurrected after Armageddon they will need these facilities for education work.
That is their spin on it. I heard it at an assembly one time from a DO when that was still a thing. Like you said they are slick salesman playing mental tricks on unsuspecting people.
I should start another topic listing signs of spiritual weakness, but yes having anymore than half a days worth of facial hair is definitely a sign of low spirituality.

i really don’t know of many people who got into therapy because of their jw dealings but i would think that if someone remains depressed or severely affected by their past witness life, it’s not a bad idea to speak to someone to get you on the right path.
i think this site has been very therapeutic for many over the years..
I will restate. I don’t think it is mentally healthy being a witness. Maybe it aggravates a pre existing condition. Being kept on the jw treadmill and the unrealistic expectations are not healthy.
