You seem to be comfortable showing your photo on Instagram. If you are an active jw this might be risky for you.
after listening to the zoom meetings the past two weeks, i started to wonder, what is the real purpose for such short comments.
policy for 5 or more years now.
supposedly, it is so more can comment.

Sitting through the zoom convention is punishing. I’d be willing to bet that lots skip out.
i remember that i once saw a wt book (or maybe a booklet) which in depicting one or two of the creative days of genesis had illustrations depicting now extinct prehistoric animals.
which publication was that?
i think the illustrations were of a 1950s or 1960s style.. update: i found it.
Didn’t the green bible have a picture of a dinosaur on the inside of the cover?

I like trying to count how many times the person saying the final prayer uses the word “Jehovah “.
does anyone know of examples where the watchtower used symbolic interpretation to twist the plain meaning of scripture?the only one that comes to my mind right now is in rev.
"then i heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of israel".. .
here, the wt would have us believe that the number of those sealed are literally 144k; but supposedly "israel" symbolically represents anointed jw's.
All religions are pretty much the same. They have an agenda and twist the words in their holy book to fit their preconceived ideas.

I thought commenting in your own words was a sign of spirituality.
the watchtower—study edition | september 2021. study article 39. when a loved one leaves jehovah.
2 think how heartbroken jehovah must have been when members of his own angelic family turned their back on him!
(jude 6) and imagine how hurt he was at seeing his beloved people, the israelites, rebel against him time and again.

We had an elder who gave that talk in the circuit. Eventually all of his kids left the religion.
how many of you had panic attacks when you were a jw and when leaving?
i know of many jw women and a few men who suffered badly with panic attacks.
since recently having another spate of panic attacks i suddenly realised that i had been having them all my life.
As kids in the early 1970s we had it drilled in our heads that the authorities would ban Jehovah’s witnesses and take us or our parents away. I’d get nervous when the cops were patrolling our neighborhood. Talk about an effed up childhood.
my opinion is if possible fading is the best way to go..
If you are annoying enough to be around, they won’t mind if you stop attending. In fact they’ll be happy to see you leave.

If any of you are wondering why many of us pretend to believe this is why. We don’t want to lose our families.
