  was there pressure from outside?

  i spotted 2 of the nicer elders in the congregation walking up the drive.

  i didn’t answer the door.

  No problem come at this inconvenient time.

  They’ll have to print an announcement with pictures to put on the bulletin board to show different styles of beards and what is allowed and not allowed.

  Just like the pictures of what is allowable dress when visiting the branches.

  To get rid of 1914 they will have to come up with a long term plan which they don’t seem able to do.

  i've read on here about connected families within congregations who seem to get all the "privileges".

  how likely is an elder's son, or other relative, to rise within the ranks?.

  i imagine it's harder to do it that way once you start to ascend the ranks.

  recent news about beards is getting lots of attention.

  it made me wonder if any guys will return to the church under the impression that 'so much has changed'.

  back when, i knew a couple guys who were outspoken about beards, seeing it as an issue, and was never terribly moved by their viewpoint.
