in some cases, but not all, the committee may determine that there is basis for reinstating the individual at that time".
It seems they are lightening up a bit.
It used to be a year before you could be reinstated
A year is a long time
once new relationships are formed outside the borg the less chance of people coming back
Once you’ve got that college degree a good job and a “worldly” support group chances are you ain’t coming back
things are changing so rapidly.
there is so much confusion now.. if we can talk to disfellowshiped/disassociated ones to invite them to meetings then is it really going to stop there?.
some family members haven’t had contact for decades and now after yesterdays new light they will all be getting calls.
I think there will be a lot of “sorry you weren’t there when I needed you most and I’ve moved on” from the long time disfellowshipped community.
