  ok more about the jw wedding i attended.

  there were these two couples at our dinner table that were having an all out pissing competition as to who was the most spiritual.

  they were comparing who was in "the truth" the longest, who pioneered where and for how long.

  Ok more about the jw wedding I attended.  There were these two couples at our dinner table that were having an all out pissing competition as to who was the most spiritual.   They were comparing who was in "the truth" the longest, who pioneered where and for how long.  How many generations of jehovahs witnesses they were. As it went on they drank more wine and the bs got thicker. One would say their kid pioneered such and such a place then the other couple would up them by saying their kid is a missionary in the Congo. 

  I had to get up and leave.  I just couldn't take it anymore.

  I believe that most JW's are ill-equipped to be good marriage mates due to what they learn about marriage from magazines, books and kingdom hall meetings.

  
  
  It doesn't help that some of the books on marriage have been written by bethelites  who have either never been married or if they are married have never had to make it work in the real world.

  You're absolutely correct outlaw.  Jw marriages are set up to fail. Then when they do fail it is because you weren't doing enough service/ personal study/submission etc etc etc

  I met a couple there that I haven't seen in many years. They really look wore out. The jw treadmill has kept them busy all of these years

  This is exactly what I as thinking. This guy must be well connected with the leaders in the hall. Or her daddy is an elder.

  her daddy isn't an elder but is well off. Her mommy is a pioneer. 

  The grooms family is extremely well connected   At the reception I ended up sitting with an ex bethelite elder and his wife. I guess their kid is a missionary somewhere. 

  It was hard but I kept the boozing to a minimum  with the free bar and all   I have a big mouth when I drink so I might have blown my cover.

This is his second time and her third. The advice given. Wife be in subjection to your husband, be a doormat and your marriage will succeed. They as usual misapplied the scripture in Ecclesiastes about the threefold cord. Keep Jehovah in your marriage and it will all be good. 

  It obviously didn't work the first go around for these folks.

  the guy being interviewed while sitting with his wife in the car was the elder that admitted that he lied at my judicial committee which i have on tape.

  he tried saying i had said something to him and his wife and i called him a liar right to his face and then he said i didn't really say what i had been accused of.
