  just saw this on the ex-jw subreddit.

  on opencharity.ca, you can view wtbs canada's financial info and in 2013 they received almost $9 million in donations.

  you can even see how much some congregations gave.

  The total money grab from the congregations and circuits in canada was 8.8 million dollars

  if all religion is a snare and a racket as per judge rutherford, then has religion maybe lied to us on this score too?.

  could jesus have meant: "if you belonged to the (religious) world, it would love you as its own.

  as it is, you do not belong to the (religious) world, but i have chosen you out of the (religious) world.

  My thoughts.

  Most people have to work for a living. Unless a person is born into a privileged family or wins the lottery this is a fact of life.

  Con artists and thieves have figured out a way to skirt the system and get a free ride. Religious leaders have pretty much figured the game out so they never have to work another day in their life.

  Has religion lied to us? Is the sky blue?

  Such a helpful book, "The subtle power of spiritual Abuse"

  this book was suggested to me.

  i couldn't put it down.

  it isn't aimed at any religion but it does peg the abuse factor within them all.

  i have heard that the wt is putting together a clandestine preaching blitz for israel, thought i saw someone comment on it here too.. has anyone heard anything?

  Yes There was a call for qualified publishers from canada to go preach in Israel. Some I know are there right now.

  Food at the proper time. I got my answer from the latest Awake magazine. The May 2015 Awake has all the solutions for helping the homeless and poor. There is no need for me to give my money and time to build a house for them. All they need to do is read from the Awake magazine and study with Jehovahs Witnesses and their housing issues will be solved.
