  Will You Still Wear A Mask Even If You Don’t Have To?

  it seems that some people just aren’t ready to put those masks aside even if they are fully vaccinated!

  some can’t help but think their brains aren’t ready for “normal”..

  I had a guy at the office today. I said let’s go outside, you can take your mask off. Went outside and he kept his mask on. Programmed fear is what this has become.

  Has anyone still in or otherwise heard anything about JWs think we only have 12 months before Armageddon?

  i’ve noticed a change in family attitude recently, like there is just something extra on their mind.

  i even had to call my brother to check if he was dying and too scared to tell me.

  anyway, i saw a video last night my saying jws think we only have 12 months left before armageddon so thought maybe this is the reason for changes attitude.

  Follow the money. I think I said it here before. The car salesman contacts you to convince you the car he sold you two years ago is unreliable. You bite, he sells you a new one and then tries to convince you the one you just bought might break down and you need to purchase extended warranty.

  The reason they are building is that the end is so soon. With all the resurrected after Armageddon they will need these facilities for education work.

  That is their spin on it. I heard it at an assembly one time from a DO when that was still a thing. Like you said they are slick salesman playing mental tricks on unsuspecting people.

  I should start another topic listing signs of spiritual weakness, but yes having anymore than half a days worth of facial hair is definitely a sign of low spirituality.

  i found this experience on reddit today.

  disfellowshipping never really bothered me.

  i always thought it was just another way of getting rid of members that weren't welcome anymore.. but i've changed my mind.

  about "listen,obey and be blessed" by aled jones ?

  Do You Know Of Anyone That Has Seen A Therapist Because Of Being A Witness?

  i really don’t know of many people who got into therapy because of their jw dealings but i would think that if someone remains depressed or severely affected by their past witness life, it’s not a bad idea to speak to someone to get you on the right path.

  i think this site has been very therapeutic for many over the years..

  I will restate. I don’t think it is mentally healthy being a witness. Maybe it aggravates a pre existing condition. Being kept on the jw treadmill and the unrealistic expectations are not healthy.

  I agree. Being a jw causes mental illness. Too much cognitive dissonance, moving the goalposts and you can never be good enough.
