  New Generation understanding tied to Freddie Franz

  pierce, tied the overlap theory directly to fred franz's lifetime.. did anyone else catch this?.

  evidently (and i'm paraphrasing), anyone anointed after franz's death in 1992 is not of the 'generation'.. 5th.

  Who gives a crap about organ transplants?

  Let me spell it out in clear, simple, language:

  Little timmy needs a life saving organ transplant.

  WT says it's cannibalism.

  Little timmy dies, faithfully.

  WT's new light says organ transplants are OK!

  Little Timmy's mother says "It's ok, I'll see little timmy in the new system."

  I say, "Are you f*ing insane? They killed little timmy!"

  Little timmy's mother says "He was faithful to the end"

  I say "He sure was, to an organizational policy, he died for men."

  Little timmy's mother says "You are an evil Apostate"

  Service is mathematically and logically pointless.

  so, i was thinking today about the point of service, other than the proclamations the king and his kingdom (bs :p ) and i kind of had an epiphany... but i'm sure somebody has already thought of this.

  first, for people who never hear the 'truth', or never come to a true accurate understanding of it, they will most likely have odds in favor of them surviving into the paradise earth to get a second chance.

  let's say the odds are 99% survival.. .

  I have had this convo with my devout witness mother in law.

  Her argument is (in classic witness doctrinal mantra):

  "The Bible prophesized that people would be preaching throughout the earth in the Last Days, know one else is doing what we are doing."

  My argument (in class cynic):

  "Woudln't you think that the ONLY organization on earth who is preaching the whole planet like you would have more members? I find it shady logic to present your growth as a reason for divinity while at the same time present the 'masses of False Religion', who have vast more members, as a fulfillment of prophecy as well, as in Satan will mislead many in the End.

  Your growth cannot possibly be used as an argument, you are a vast minority. And on that same point, which Religion is more well known? Jehovah's Witnesses or Catholicism? Jehovah's Witnesses or Judism? Jehovah's Witnesses or Islam?

  How can you possibly say with any certainty that you are fulfilling the 'world wide preaching work' described in Matthew 24?"

  Ugh, no point really. It's just good to get it out in the open for myself, she's never gonna actually take it in.

  can someone maybe explain that a little?

  if this even makes sense, im usually not t his dense, i've been reading this for ever and for some reason i keep getting thrown off track at that part.

  Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity - Mormons and Catholics

  i was looking at some clips of glenn beck and sean hannity over the weekend and i notice how much they admire each others religion.

  when sean talks about mitt romney or glenn beck, he mentions that they are great men who love the lord and are examples of "great americans".. then you have glenn beck talking about a recent trip to the vatican where he felt gods presence and even had a person there tell him that "we know you are and what you are doing is terribly important.".

  what is so funny is that if you visit websites of the mentioned religions, they do not view the other as "good.

  Why is it strange? They are both political protstitutes. They do have some good stuff to say, but they still have to "maintain in touch with a wide audience" and that means accepting other forms of Christianity, even if their faith doesn't.

  Anybody Up to Analyzing the Parable of the S & G?

  wt finally gave up the notion that this parable referred to giving "aid" to them, primarily by preaching and teaching their doctrines.

  wt has also admitted that this has a future fulfillment.. i couldn't agree more.. so, when he says "nations" are going to be gathered before him, is jesus speaking of all nations or christian nations only?.

  i lean toward christian nations because the "goats" also call him their master.. i also note that the "nations'' seem to have already been judged when the king arrives, because he immediately places them at his right or his left.. any thoughts would be appreciated.. syl.

  The old big orange "Paradise" book

  anyone remember that?

  i learned to read on that book.there were some very disturbing images,like the earth opening up and people falling into it.like upside down ladies and hippies.id love to get a hold of one and peruse it with a friend and some herbal medicine.maybe there is one in the attic?anyway,that and the image of the snake talking to the beautiful,bare shouldered eve,who was holding an apple,made a big impression on me.any else have any faves from that book?is it still being used?.

  i was just talking to my wife this morning about underlining or highlighting the wt paragraphs.. when i was 13 years old i would fight with my dad because i refused to highlight the answers.. the reason was because i wanted my comment to be genuine.

  i felt that highlighting the "answer" made me lean on just using that as a crutch and not truly putting it in my own words.. i still hold that argument now, and i am 26. the only reason you would ever have to highlight something in a study book would be if you needed to remember it, maybe it is fairly complicated or subtle information that could be easily forgotten.. so many times in the wt the "question" has the same phrase that's in the paragraph!

  it's literally like playing connect the dots.. so what i would do is not highlight during the family study.

  Fear. No one would be spared...not even babies. So as a young child, or a weak mind, it impressed on you that you were not above being on that rock alone when Armageddon came; The Flood of Noah = Armageddon today.

  It genuinely makes me feel sad for them. That they feel they have to harbor THAT kind of fear into their youth in order to "keep them in the fold."
