  a common attitude among ex-jw's is that the watchtower will face collapse only when the money dries up - i disagree.

  I feel the only way to get them thinking is to inform non-witnesses.

  Think if Witnesses couldn't go to a door without having to answer questions about their roots and changed teachings... it just might be enough.

  i have, on occasion, pissed off many or most of the christians on this board.

  i have forthrightly ridiculed you at times, but more often, i have lathered satire, or frothed sarcasm at what appeared to me to be inanely ludicrous viewpoint.. i must apologize, for i have seen the light.. i now understand that all of mankind's' plight can indeed be traced to a day in a perfect garden in iraq.

  ^ Christians are religious bigots, whether they admit it or not. Until religious people take a good look at the implications of their beliefs I will never appologize for calling them out on their bigotry and self rightous drivel.

  i just wrote a message to my youngest daughter - its been over a year since we were in touch.

  she moved to live with an older sibling and cut off contact with me.

  she's only 17. its been heartbreaking.

  I would be encouraged by her age. At the young age of 17 there is a very good chance you will get her back, keep pluggin away and the Information Revolution will eventually open her eyes.

  all the scriptures i read seems it refers to an enlightening.

  or refer to god as light, it doesn't refer to god as new or changing.

  strange title, huh?.

  the point is that i wasn't "burned" in some incredible way by wts and i don't carry a huge chip on my shoulder from some incredible injustice from wts or the local elders.. i say this because some people have constantly accused me of being really screwed over by my experience because of my comments on others' threads.

  i explained myself there for my reasons, but wanted to repeat what those reasons are here in my own thread.. i explained on some post somewhere that i had felt that i experienced "divine intervention" in my life at one time and that same intervention ended my suicide attempt.

  I actually find it a bit lame (sorry everyone!) when people leave for reasons like "I noticed a lack of love".

  It's not the lack of love by itself that stands out. It's that coupled with their staunch determination that they are the most loving people on the planet, and have the audacity to refer to their way of life as "a tranquility unknown to the outside world."

  Beautiful Assembly Halls and Paperback Bibles

  in the u.s. most kingdom halls and assembly halls are not only very comfortable places to meet but also built to please the eye.

  the seating, carpeting, sound systems, entrance floorings, murals and wall decorations, dining areas and even apartments in those buildings for the visiting overseers are not only the best available but also very well cared for.

  all of this of course is for the glory of jehovah.
