im not one, and i have theological differences with it; however other religions and former members of the religion seem to be unusually bitter and critical.
i admit to being unfamiliar with many of the social aspects of the church, but all churches have a hierarchal structure and its not unusual for many churches to also be dogmatic in relation to the scriptures.

How many religions are responsible for the deaths of children resulting from the ABSOLUTE refusal of certain medical procedures under pain of aforementioned shunning?
The ONLY way to accomplish this is through a mind control tactic, it is an inhuman practice and no human would kill their young without a long process of conditioning.

Another red flag is that they are taught that they have a "copyright" on faith itself and have sole accurate knowledge of the universe and it's purpose. And they ostrocise any who oppose.
Another huge red flag in the cult arena is that ALL criticism is considered PERSECUTION. Think about that sentiment.

The JW's literature has always been very bias towards the world as a whole. It dwells on the negative and minimizes the positive on everything outside of the JW framework.
This idea is worked into childrens mind in child-friendly propaganda and the adults are brain washed via extreme repetition of these negative ideas and non-stop busywork.
Are they less-destructive than some cults? Yes, but they still have a very dangerous negative message that can hurt many.

by AGuest infor they, alone, have apparently been able to do for some what no other religion, teaching, philosophy, belief, or faith, was able to do: turn some completely away from the most holy one of israel, jah of armies.
may you all have peace.... of course, such ones may want to attribute their "change of heart" to something they call "atheism", but that really isn't the truth.
atheism didn't call them; atheism was simply the final "oasis" to which they fled when the wtbts proved itself to be a "waterless region"... a wasteland... desolate.

JW's are NOT Dedicated to the ORGANIZATION!
by UnDisfellowshipped inthe watchtower society claims that jehovah's witnesses are not dedicated to the watchtower organization!.
this claim is made in the quotes below.. however, how can this be true, while at the same time, all jehovah's witnesses are baptized in the name of the "spirit-directed organization"?.

My JW brother puts it perfectly:
"You have to seperate the humans FROM the Organization."
Basically what he is saying is that the Organization, without humans, is Jehovah; but once humans are added the "Human Effect" is added with them. This effect could be anything from rape to gossip, but ALL is exused because the actual Organization is Jehovah so if you deny IT, you are denying Jehovah.
Odd and frankly dangerous reasoning.

Christianity is love of God and love of neighbour, so it gives you happiness now and in the life to come.
I don't believe that for a second. Sure, that's what CHRIST said, but his words are surrounded by a lot of other books which sing a very different tune.

So, the command to "be ready" means that we should be ready in the sense of our conduct and how we are living, no matter when Jesus returns.
This type of thing to me is a blatent form of control.
Think about the concept here:
1. End of the world IS coming
2. There is defininitely things WE need to do to survive it
3. Those things are NOT completely spelled out
4. Still, we NEED to "be ready"
5. The End could come at ANY moment or not for another 1,000 years
^ You see my point? This concept was manufactured to control.
