A daugther's purity
by mrsjones5 ina young lady i know is touting on facebook about her 12 year old daughter's purity.
the daughter just took a purity promise at her church yesterday and i find that i'm slightly uncomfortable with the idea.
i know the child just started her period because her mother announced it to me and the child announced it to a whole park a couple of weeks ago .

How did you choose your screenname for jw.net?
by Voices inalright, i'm curious now cause i've been wanting to know how certain people go their screennames.
now some people have their names involved with makes sense and so forth.
but i guess i'll start out.

so on the "up" side...
by elderelite inits a "worldly" holiday and both my daughter and i are at home, not in service.
i got up, made us breakfast, (sausage and eggs) and now i'm playing on jw net.. on the downside, my wife and son are out in service and i have to sit down and put together my service groups time and turn that in to the secretary... (although my son didnt want to go.. he complained "cant we just have a chill day".. i was going to let him stay home but he changed his mind to go see a friend who said he was also going out...).
all you active jw's... did you or are you going out..or are you ditching?.

ruruj a word of advice because you seem like a passionate fellow much like myself.
Being an ex-witness we are very used to talking "like we have all the answers."
Of course we don't really believe that we do, but our subconscious does believe that because of conditioning.
Think about it, we went to people's doors soley to tell them that they needed to STOP whatever they were doing because it was wrong. Do you know how we knew that? Because we knew WE were right and that "rightness" made everything else wrong.
This ideal is hard to exercise from our brains! And people like you and I would do well to keep that in the forefront of our conscious thought, especially when stating our opinions.
Just food for thought.
