  if i'm not mistaken, werent the committee of brothers who translated this bible: nathan knorr, albert scheoder, george gangas, fredrick franz.

  wasnt fredrick franz the only scholarly person (or somewhat scholarly) person who was 'somewhat qualified' to translate any type of biblical greek, hebrew, etc?.

  Sab- I am an incredibly Critical Thinker- and have studies translations for well over 30 years- so I KNOW what I'm talking about; why do you think they can't give ONE SINGLE EXAMPLE of a Mistake made?

  SOMEHOW they produced the most accurate and honest of ALL Bible translations.

  I know you tried to prove this statement, and I give an A for effort, but you have not supported this statement at all. If ANYTHING you have supported a claim that the NWT is credible.

  I would suggest either trying again to prove your claim or, which I would recommend, NOT making such unfounded and audacious claims.

  I mean seriously, "The NWT is the MOST accurate and honest of ALL Bible translations"?

  If you believe that you believe that and that's cool. But if your going to put it in writing you need to support it, which of course your notion is unsupportable and over-the-top.

  Kingdom Hall Rebuild on the Cheap .... Slave Labour!

  my father in law visited us today full of the joys of spring... he was excited to declare that he has been doing security on the kingdom hall quick build.

  he has been left alone in a portacabin / caravan on duty with a sister between the hours of 12 midnight until 6 am in the morning !!!.

  i think it is disgusting that a 72 year old man is being used like this... how they can expect him to be of any good in seeing off teenage thugs is beyond me.

  someone needs to talk with the elders in his hall. We just got done building a KH here and we were told, beyond a doubt that NO brother/sister combo's were to be used, unless they were married/related. on the upside its a good way to ditch service.. just sayin.

  Common, give the guy a break he has to be able to do SOMETHING while he watches the teenagers steal the building supplies.

  my husband just brought hone the latest jw only wt from the hall forgive me if someone has already posted this.

  i do not know how to download the wt's from the web sight nor do i wish to learn.. so anyway is was sickening to read "brother jaraze will long be remembered as a dedicated and loyal servant of jehovah, wholeheartedly forcused on theocratic activities.

  he was a loving and caring husband as well as a spiritual man who put the interest of other ahead of his own.

  All non-profit organizations have a Governing Body, it's a legal term.

  Funny they say there was a "governing body" in the 1st century too... always makes me chuckle when they say that.

  My wife and I met at a convention and dated for two long years... we made it! Never had sex but did other things and had to go to the elders for it :(

  Celebrating our 7th year aniversary this December! Had our first son last march and are both out of the org for good.

  Life is good.

  Now just gotta work on getting a good living going!
