concerning "morality" in the congregation, did you ever think "how do we have the nerve to judge "worldley " people ?

when i was a study , at first i was really impressed with the high morals in the congregation and how "happy "everyone seemed , i eventually fell for a pioneer and commited adultery , which i felt and was made to feel the most wicked woman in the world for .

(i am married to him now ) but after i left i found out just how much had really been going on in the cong , there was one brother who had been having an affair for 5 years with a sister (he was married ) he only got reprooved and she was disfellowshipped !

i found out lots of people who wed in the hall had already done the "deed" child abuse had not been reported etc domestic violence situations , all though i am not in a position to judge "wrong doing " myself im amazed that so many in the cong had the nerve to look down on church goers "immorality " or "worldly people considering what they knew had gone on in the kingdom hall !.

I did regarding my father and the fact that he abandoned his children, and noone in the org said anything. As far as I am concerned, if they want to be morally superior, they need to handle all the crap that goes on internally. As far as the fornication, that probably depended on the congregation, or the cliques. I personally did not feel that people fornicating was the rule in the cong, only an exception. The people in my group weren't, and I guarantee you, if we found out we would narc. I may be wrong about stuff not going on, I have been told that I am very naive. I did feel superior morally to alot of JWs and worldly people. I still feel morally superior somewhat.

does everyone remember a few years back, when the km directed that nobody should wear shorts after the convention while out and about?

i don't have the reference, but i remember a brother in our hall made a comment that night at the meeting while it was being discussed.

he was a very poor brother, with 3 children.

Seen alot of passing out at the Pontiac Silverdome. I swear, it was so hot and sticky in there, I was miserable. My goal was always to find a nice long sundress so I could go w/out pantyhose, then I'd be hot because of the stupid long dress. There were always people being rushed out on stretchers cause they passed out from the heat, or had a seizure, etc.

a jehovah witness man, kwabena afum and his wife, margret afum aka abena oduma, have had a brush with the law after creating an unnecessary chaotic scene at new edubiase government hospital in a bid to prevent medical officers from giving blood to their son.. .

kwabena afum was arrested last week tuesday and granted a police enquiry bail the next day for causing panic and chaos by allegedly mobilizing some members of his church to foment trouble at the hospital.. .

he has since disowned five-year-old jepheth asamoah, who is currently in the custody of the social welfare department in the district, even after his release.. .

How in the world do you disown a 5 year old? This is so sick and twisted. The GB and the rest of the higher ups in the org should be in jail.

a potentially interesting JW experiment

so it would be pretty interesting if someone got df'd at an early age--20 or 30 or so--and kept attending meetings for the rest of his or her life without getting reinstated.

imagine jws in the presence of a df'd person for sixty years, without acknowledging the person's existence.

they'd watch the person grow older and more feeble, and all the while they'd believe that the person is going to die because of the d'fing.

Theocratic Ministry School Assignments

the elders would give me the assignment about a month before my speech.man i used to wake up at nights thinking about it,being so anxious,so depressed...i also used to read explosively fast in order to get back to my seat as soon as possible and leave during the second song.

"it's a good think to be anxious about your assignment" they said.no motherockers it ain't good,it ain't no f()&uinng good it's like smashing one's balls with a sledgehammer.anyone had the same feelings?.

How tolerant of diversity are you and I really?

i ask myself that question from time to time and i find a disturbing trend towards intolerance whenever i'm feeling poor in some area.. .

when i think of the "poor in spirit", i don't think happy, i think instead of envy and intolerance.

sure those who become happy overcome their "poor-in-spirit-ness by focusing on self improvement in those areas of felt deficit, however i imagine the unhealthy may become more intolerant, envious and controlling.. .
