I actually watch Jerry when possible. It is extremely entertaining. It's a guilty pleasure thing. I just laugh and laugh. It doesn't seem real. I find Maury to be very sad though. The women are usually loud and ignorant acting, yelling at these bum males that they thought nothing of having sex with without protection.

it's been widely reported on jwn and other places about the change to the caption in the inside front page of awake!.

from 1982 - 1995 it stated:.

"most importantly, this magazine builds confidence in the creator's promise of a peaceful and secure new order before the generation that saw the events of 1914 c.e.

Who would even notice the statement has changed? I was doing good to skim over whatever articles I was offering at the doors. No one's going to realize that's changed.

that "many brothers compromised their neutrality by voting in 2008".

he followed that by asking "and what has this president done for you?

I was a believing, though inactive JW when I voted for the first time in 2008. It wasn't that I was so taken with Obama, although i did like him, Sarah Palin scared me. Anyway I just told myself that I chose to interpret the scripture about being no part of the world differently. I became an apostate in 2008 without even realizing it, lol!

our friend, oompa, has passed away.

just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

yes, i discovered this program thanks to an obama supporter in cleveland.

if you are low income or receive a government program like food stamps, then you can get a free cell phone with 250 minutes and maybe even a $10/mo broadband internet connection.

with the economy being so bad, there is no reason to give up a phone and internet, which you need to find a job and get back to work-.

Opening the bible at random - once spoken of approvingly, now superstitious!

the latest december 15th study edition of the watchtower opens with an intriguing article entitled "beware of superstitious use of the bible".. as an example of what constitutes "superstitious use" of the bible, it has this to say.... .

"perhaps a more common misuse of the bible is the practice of bibliomancy.

it refers to opening at random a book, often the bible, and reading the text that first meets the eye in the belief that those words will provide needed guidance.

as a born in, or in at a very young age, what were your worst memories as a young jw child?.

i remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when i was tired.

not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do.

James Brown, I guess my mom didn't get the memo about lecithin being off limits for JWs. My mom used to make us take tablespoons of that crap daily. It was thick, and would stick in your mouth. It was like having a mouthful of rubber cement. I don't know what was worse, the spoonfuls of lecithin, or the spoonfuls of cod liver oil!
