  Theocratic Ministry School Assignments

  the elders would give me the assignment about a month before my speech.man i used to wake up at nights thinking about it,being so anxious,so depressed...i also used to read explosively fast in order to get back to my seat as soon as possible and leave during the second song.

  "it's a good think to be anxious about your assignment" they said.no motherockers it ain't good,it ain't no f()&uinng good it's like smashing one's balls with a sledgehammer.anyone had the same feelings?.

  I loved giving talks. wish i could have been at the podium instead of at the girls table. but i really like public speaking.

  fetus position - a whopping 41% of participants sleep in this curled-up manner.

  women are twice as likely to rest like this and it is listed as the most common position.

  Really COOL(or Really DUMB) Vanity plates

  so i have a 100 mile daily commute, so i see lots of plates.

  i get a kick out of the good ones.

  saw 2 hearses- toolate, lastrde, guy in a navy caprice classic-notfuzz; minivan-mmbeer.

  One dumb one was a guy in a Mazda- SALIV8. The guy was average, not hot at all, the car was blah,I was like get over yourself! Speaking of arrogant guys this dude in my hood has had BLKGOD for years. Got a good look and he does have a hot body, but telling the world you're a god? I'm sure he'd be a pleasure to date.

  When the meetings seem endless....

  what do you do/used to do?i go to the bathroom for more than 10 mins,then read something irrelevant or think of something irrelevant or go out for a while and so the meeting comes to an end..

  i just watched peoples court where twin sisters were at each others throats over some photos.

  it got pretty.

  On Judge Mathis one time a JW took her study to court. The "sister" tried not to say she was a JW- she kept saying "I don't want to bring reproach", but the study outed her! I was still in at the time. I was so embarrassed. She got into some sort of money/business issue with her BS, how dumb was that? Judge Mathis made some sort of proJW comment, something like- "They're out there preaching the good news of Gee-hovah!" Hilarious.

  Developing Critical Thinking Skills

  critical thinking, ie.

  "independent thinking", is still a relatively new concept for me.

  for the majority of my life i avoided having opinions, scoring poorly in school on reports were we were supposed to give our opinion on political, social, or controversial issues.

  I think you should take a Logic course. Or just go to the philosophy section at Borders and browse. There are lots of interesting philosophy books.

  Say you're young, strong, single, have a job and want to have a place of your own

  say you're a young witness woman, in your twenties, single and you finished the studies your family would let you take, and you have a job.

  would it be possible or common for you to face your parents and say "hey, i'm going to live on my own" (supposing you have the money, of course)?.

  so, i know this has likely been discussed before, but i am still amazed at what i see of witnesses on fb.

  i see references to birthdays, or actually celebrating of birthdays.

  i just saw pictures of one witness i knew (i am guessing she isn't one anymore...) eating a birthday cake and opening birthday gifts.

  I say just stop going cold turkey. Claim depression, dont take any hounding phone calls, or answer the door for anyone who was not invited. JWs dont know how to handle depressed people, they'll forget about you soon enough.
