I guess it all depends on perspective. What's good money for some can be close to poverty for others. Also it's not just the disease risk, but the level of responsibility coupled with the often way too heavy workload, nurses work hard for every penny.

Why do I feel like a Barbie???????
by babygirl30 ini said that to my therapist yesterday morning...told her that the best way for me to describe my life was to sum it all up and say 'i feel like a barbie' - cause i do!!!.
every aspect of my life was controlled: what i am supposed to wear, my 'role' as a female in the cong, getting baptized, going in service, how i'm supposed to act and talk, who i'm to associate with (or not), going to meetings, driving 'certain' cars (no 2-doors), how to do my hair, whom to date and marry, blah blah blah...... when you add it all up - that is a barbie's life!!!
any girl that has played with barbie's understands that you are purely in control of 'her'.

I think being a "good" JW wife is more like being a "stepford wife." I've always liked the idea of being a black Barbie. She works for everything she has.

"long island tea"
What's even better than long island- long beach! It seems nice and fruity, but you might as well drink some straight Jack or tequila.Don't ask me how I know.

I think nursing should be added to this list. Lot of responsibility and aggravation for not much money. Oh and I forgot about the HIV and hepatitis you have to pray you dont get.

One of my favorite insults by Sawyer was when he called Hurley "Grimace." As far as fav characters, I'll just say I would love to be "lost" w/Sayid, Sawyer, and an endless supply of birth control!

THINGS I did....I wasn't supposed to do....as an active JW
by Terry inon freeminds.org, randy w wrote this about himself:.
even as a strict jehovahs witness for eight years, i never once shunned or failed to speak to a disfellowshipped person.
it is simply cruel.

JW Woman dies refusing blood....
by iknowall558 inwendy cloete louwwe lost a sister in our congregation today, had severe depression and tried to take her own life.
sad thing is if the doctors stopped being petty and insisting on bloody and just gave her alternative blood volumiser sooner she might have been fine.
it took the elders hours to get her transferred to a new hospital.

This is so sad. Anyone see how involved all the JWs got when blood became an issue? Where was all this support to help her with the depression in the first place?
