Wondering.....if any were disfellowshipped witnesses.......
So...our freedom of speech so far is a wonderful thing even if we lost it in the organization for exposing to them who they are! We can take advantage of it on here, and to each other. Let make it a meaningful voice!

by QuestioningEverything ini used to be just like many of you---i was scared to read/hear/see anything that didn't put the jw's in a positive light.
i was raised as a witness and believed everything they taught wholeheartedly and 110%.
don't let other poster's or even the jw's discourage you from investigating the 'truth' about the watchtower society.

Hello question everything:
You sound so familar. We too were raised in the organization and were very strong witnesses. my husband even started partaking at 30 years inside (in 1988) and in Dec 1997 the light went on and holy spirit led us out and everything we had been taught was turned upside down. (flip it) Instead of looking through the window at all other religions when you read let it be a 'mirror' for them. After all....they call themselves 'true Israel'..
But now....it is 'truly fulfillment of what we were raised to..."walk by faith not by sight" "Jah does NOT dwell in handmade temples" "Jesus said My sheep know MY voice and I lead them out" "He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in union with me" (not the WTBS) and it is for ANYONE! "God is a spirit and we must worship him in Spirit and truth"...
The challenge is.... Can we as Israel do this?? now that we may have been led up outta egypt and out in the wilderness? Can we allow ourselves to follow the 'cloud and pillar of fire'??
Or will we murmer that it was much easier in Egypt (our lives were told what to do,eat,wear,watch etc..)
Will we complain about the manna? (CHRIST?TRUTH) and become tired that we cannot "SEE" anything so we ask for a king (like Saul) or even build a golden calf again (the WTBS) and become slaves all over again.
Remember our Lord is NOT delaying..It is us who tire out and choose to get distracted again. Faith is hard! He said is was!
There is NO reason to search for any other building to worship through. Jaheshua is it! He is the one that will NEVER lie, mislead, or decieve us again! The call is out there from Him. He says "COME TO ME" those who are tired. He will lift that yoke and refresh you and take you in." His voice is loud and clear. But can we have faith to hear it?

Please Post Reasons For Not Believing The Witnesses Have The "Truth" Anymore
by minimus ini see a few want to believe in the watchtower's view of bible prophecy, scriptural understandings and the view that the "anointed remnant" dispense the "spiritual food at the proper time".. how would you refute those views?.

There is only ONE Truth and it is "The Christ" not any visible organization anymore since 70 c.e. Jesus said " I am the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE. Noone gets to the father except through ME" Even our brother Peter in the bible said"WHOM (notwhere) shall we turn away to. YOU (Christ) have the sayings of everlasting life"
Most all of their prohecies have not appeared as they had predicted so they change dates and times and then call it "new light" iT IS EITHER TRUTH OR IT ISN'T. And it is not on little issues it is HUGE foundational doctrine!
Jehovah doesn't make mistakes!
The fact that only 144,000 partake is huge... It was no problem until 1935 when more witnesses starting coming in than that and partaking and they didn't know what to do so then it was "OOhh" there is millions who will live on earth and not be partakers so those should sorta think about discontinuing partaking. There was and always have been only "One faith ONE HOPE One baptism!
Jesus said in John chapter 6 that He was the bread from heaven. And ANYONE that eats has everlasting life, a resurrection, and stays in union with him.
The perfect example set forth for us is in 1Corinthians 10: 1-4. When Moses left Egypt Israel and a 'vast mixed' company went with him into the wilderness. All ate the manna. All ate from the rockmass which represented Christ! That included levites (priests) men, women, children, and non-israelites (egyptians).
The term paradise in the Bible has reference to "the third heaven" it is nothing on earth. There is no "you will live in paradise on earth" 2 Corinthians 12:4, Revelation 2:7
Armaggedon or Gods war (only one not two) is not immediately after the tribulation, it is at the END of the thousand year milleneum. Christs return is after the tribulation (second coming) Not in 1914.. Matthew 24 and 25
Revelation 20:7-9 Gog and Magog gathered for "The War"

It has nothing REALLY to do with the english being easier to understand.
The crap that they keep teaching and "changing as new understanding" is what is hard to undertstand and stomach.

she has had nothing to do with her newborn neice for 9 months and outta the blue textes who sister and asks her to meet at a. restaurant as they are in town and would like to see the baby.
the mom out of love gave in so her nephews could see their cousin whom they'll never know.

Then....the nextday texted (which am I crazy or is that association)?????? and said she feels guilty and can't see her again with the baby. Its toooo hard on Her boys to see a cousin they'll never grow up knowing. Hellooo it WAS Her idea to begin with.
So thought maybe next time the worldly boyfriend could bring the baby and hang out with them instead so as not to feel guilty.. (now its worldly association).. lol
The sister who is disfellowshipped and had a moment of weakness said "Go to Hell"..that will never happen. You arranged for this and now made this MY fault cuz your heartbroken over your boys being confused as to who they can and can't associate with in the family.
Wow! You talk about some screwed up group of folks and sad to say, their gonna be around for a LONG time gulpin down that kool-aid.....

It is SO depressing when you just can't get through to someone
by ilikecheese ini have been hitting a brick wall trying to pry my boyfriend away from this stuff.
it just makes me cry that it's so obvious to me how wrong it is, and he's not even batting an eyelash.
he knows about all of the scandals, all of the false prophecies, the coverup of sexual predators, that elders tell abuse victims to stay with their spouses, that they dishonestly use sources, and he just doesn't care.

Hello and I am so sorry for your frustration but I have to agree with Shades of Grey.....
We can't make people "see" if they don't want to or are not ready to. If it is Jah's will you will be directed to either tell him or he will ask. Example has always been the best key and the sharing of a few major things as you have done and then let it be! If his heart is receptive the questions will arise and his heart and spirit will start to see through it. It took me 30 years to finally click and when it did "WoW" the light went on!!! lol
Continue to pray and be patient.
