hi, just wanted to introduce myself.
born-in, as was my husband.
we were both baptized as teens, married when we were teens (he was early 20s) and we were both the "perfect" witnesses.
FreshStart - I just got your PM and see where you are from. I feel almost certain that we probably know each other, or at least have seen each other. I spent a LOT of time at different places in your circuit (which is not far from my home). Look up my previous posts that I started and there is one called "Mentallyfree31 would like to formally introduce himself" and I have a picture of myself on that thread.
Look forward to hearing back from you. Glad you discovered the truth about "the truth".
Good luck!
Steve

CC - It's good to hear from you also. I wish you all the luck in the world. I hope they awaken in the near future. It's a wonderful thing when it happens.

Hello everybody ....
It's been a long time since I've logged in to this site. I wanted to say hello to all. I am doing very good. I just began my second year of college, after transferring to a local University. Things are going great there. I am taking 16 hours of class this semester and working almost full time. The courses I am taking are World Civilization 1, World Literature, Theater Appreciation, Accounting 200, Calculus, and General Business. My major is Accounting. I have about 3 more years to go before I complete my Bachelors Degree in that. Learning is fun...and college has really been a blast.
With such a heavy load at school and work, I haven't had a lot of free time to keep up with things here on the forum. I hope everyone is well. Best wishes and good luck to all!

early in the exit process, it's very important to begin overcoming irrational fears.
fear of the devil.
fear of god.
I remember when I saw the preview for the movie "Insidious". I had shaken my fear of demons and was itching to see a "demonized movie". I watched the entire thing, and wasn't scared at all. That was a great feeling.

so we had a 'special' visitor today in our hall, somebody from patterson, young fellow with a wife.
off course i didn't catch that at first until he started name dropping in the first 5 minutes that he was from bethel .
so he goes on rambling about how we live in the last days and blah-di-blah .
That's pretty funny!

i purchased (this week) a copy of the autobiography of this man.
he wrote the book himself, telling his version of the events of his life, work and church.
i think it will be very enlightening to hear a cult leader express his views, attempting to justify his work and beliefs.
All who have read Combatting Cult Mind Control by Steven Hassan will recognize the name Sun Moon as the leader of the Moonies. I purchased (this week) a copy of the autobiography of this man. He wrote the book himself, telling his version of the events of his life, work and church. I think it will be very enlightening to hear a cult leader express his views, attempting to justify his work and beliefs. It would be similar to an active GB member writing a book detailing his life experience as part of the "only true religion", while still believing this myth.
Sun Moon is 90 years old now. He wrote the book last year (2010).
Has anybody else read this book? It's called "As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen". Here is a picture of the cover:

example: gravity is real.
because if 607 bce is wrong, then so is 1914 and 1918 and 1919. very simple.
so if we cannot trust secular research, then we can definitely discard the date of 607 bce.
Thanks for the thumbs up. Seems like forever ago that I wrote this. Glad it has been of assistance.

i was inspired by a recent thread i know i aint gunna crumble the wt, but a girl can dream to look at the effect we as individuals are having on the watchtower society.. 3dogs1husband quoted a story to show that even helping only one person is worth it.. it is encouraging to note that the one person you may have helped has lead to millions being helped, due to the power of compounding growth.. compounding growth is well illustrated by the rice on a chessboard problem.
if you start with 1 grain of rice on square one, and double it to 2 on the second, 4 on the third, 8 on the fourth, by the last (64th) square there would be 18,446,744,073,709,551,615 grains of rice.. likewise, if you help one person out of the grip of the watchtower this year, then next year you help one more and they help one, in a few years that is going to have a formidable result on the number of jehovahs witnesses.
look at the following statistics.
Thanks for this jwfacts! Nice work!
