Interesting observations. Thanks everyone!

what do you think will happen to the 144,000 belief as the years progress?
will the wts convert that to a "figurative" number and leave it open-ended?
or will they come up with another date and insist that anybody after that date should not partake?.
Interesting observations. Thanks everyone!

question: when you awakened and discovered the truth about "da troof", what did you do with the www money in your service bag?.
i must confess: i took my apostate brother out to lunch and paid for it with my www stash.
i hadn't deposited my money in a long time, so there was about $30 in there.. .
When I hear these stories of people just puting the WWW money in their pockets, it makes me smile really big.

i have to confess: in my last 3 - 5 years in field circus, i basically only went to neighborhoods that were extrememly poor and thus i knew they would be favorable to the message.
i always had my own territory checked out, and even if an elder suggested i join another group in working another territory, i always had plenty of reasons why i needed to work mine.
(bible study or rv that i had to make at 11 am, etc...blah blah blah..lol).
I never rang doorbells. I would always knock. There was a better chance they might not hear the knock, as it wasn't ringing loudly throughout the house. I usually didn't do too much deliberate "light knocking", I just chose knocking over doorbells.
I would have people sometimes say "there's s doorbell, you can just ring it". I wanted to tell them that when it's their door, they can do whatever they like, but don't worry about my doors". LOL

i started reading the book "who wrote the bible" by richard elliot friedman this week.
i'm a little over halfway through it today, and have found it to be quite informative and enlightening.
with every page i read, i realize again what a tiny jw bubble i have spent my life inside.. have you read this book?
Dagney - It's funny when you are a witness, you have to force yourself to believe that there are NO contradictions. Everything is perfect and it has to make sense. But when you back up and read it, it's so jumbled up and confusing. Matthew says one thing, Luke says another.

cagefighter - hilarious! What about the hoagies...have they gone bad yet or did they freeze them?
Blondie - i rarely asked for donations either. One time a man agreed to read the magazines and said he would read them. i mentioned the donation arrangement and he threw it back at me and said "please leave". I told him he could have the magazines even with no donation, and he said "remember whose property you are on". So i left. That was a strange reaction I thought. Not sure why it triggered that response.

I agree - Apocalypse Delayed is a fantastic book.

mistakes were made (but not by me) end class="storytitle" .

Looks like a good one..

Snakes - we had almost all rural territory, so I never got to use the "4 people pair up and I will work alone" trick. That's a great one though.

Funny stuff. I quit donating money several years ago. I did the accounts and we always took in more than we needed, so I just quit. But I did always turn in donation money from the field.
