  ~Close to Others..Close to My Self~

  i am using this as my very own personal therapy session to express some of what has been swimming around in my head~.

  it may not take much shape, i'll be letting it flow.... there is nothing like feeling understood and accepted and loved for who you are.

  but that's a difficult thing to really feel when there is little or no history with a person.

  "a friend, an intelligent lapsed jew who observes the sabbath for reasons of cultural solidarity, describes himself as a tooth fairy agnostic.

  he will not call himself an atheist because it is in principle impossible to prove a negative.

  but "agnostic" on its own might suggest that he though god's existence or non-existence equally likely.

  That makes total sense~ saying you don't believe in something that cannot be proven anyway~ that could be any countless number of ideas out there making 'a-' anythings all over the place, because the human ideas and beliefs are just endless.

  But there ARE Faeries

  That was written in 1896?.....wow...how did CT Russell continue and become 'successful', and I'm just now reading this brilliant and beautiful piece of work? For that matter, how did any of the many and varied religions through the ages come to exist and even prosper? Surely religion doesn't pass the logic test with the passing of time and with ample research. Maybe the want for a sense of belonging and security(and of course to save yourself at the point of a sword) is a reason many sell-out and are willing to exchange their freedom for some form of religion. All these controlling belief systems causing so much hurt and confusion. My consolation is~ I am free now...

  I love how honest he was. He really took the time to learn about it all, with no agenda other than seeking truth.

  ~God promotes slavery..for life, is this considered 'moral'?
