New book: "Confessions of a Teenage Jesus Jerk"
by Gopher ina new novel written by an ex-jw received a mainly positive review in today's minneapolis newspaper.

Do you think Roethlesberger would be suspended if he was black?

pacman jones was never charged with a crime, yet was suspended for a year and then more i believe.
i'm not defending the actions of jones, but based on those standards big ben has now been accused twice of sexual assult.

Yes, I do. It's disgusting that he is still not facing any sanctions from the NFL. And also that this story about him hasn't been plastered all over EVERY media outlet possible. 2 sexual assault accusations in less than a year? PS-I'm a 41y white woman.

Birthdays Okay -- if done by Fractions
by FatFreek 2005 ini have 2 sons who live close to each other.
thankfully, they are emotionally close despite the fact that the oldest never was baptized and therefore not bound by wt standards.. the youngest, the jw, had a birthday on the 1st of the month.
i wished him a happy one -- but, of course, only in my mind knowing that he would dismiss such a wish if he even talked with me on the phone.

Sounds like it is okay to celebrate it in 'fractions' for some JW's. My diehard JW mom calls me and my kids on our birthdays. She even made a cake for my son this year. No, it wasn't a bday cake but it was given to him the day after his bday.
