Yes many JW's think this St George & the scammers in Brooklyn are more then happy to let them think this too.........helps keep up the delusion of their God given authority over the rank & file.

i remember a sister that put a tissue over her head as a headcovering....
I've seen a sister wear a tea towel grab from her kitchen draw & another wore a doily in order to pray before FS..................caused a lot of giggling as the sister had a very sharp sense of humour & knew it looked ridiculous.
if jws don't have the truth; if there is no paradise earth; if there is no end of this system; if death is all there is, then what hope do we have to look forward too?.

How ungrateful that must seem to the creator that I view it of such little consequence & just keep looking for something better.
It like a father or mother giving their child a most precious gift & the kid just throwing it aside & looking for something bigger & better.
my parents are in their 80's.. they have been jw's since the late 1950's.. they both have serious misgivings about the way the organisation is going & they feel lost.. however it has been a damned hard struggle over all those years being jw's & raising a family in the 'truth' & they do not feel they can turn their back on it.. what can i say to help them?

I always felt sorry for sisters always having to be reminded of their inferiority to men
When I got baptised it felt so wrong for a 15 year old twerp of a boy taking the lead when meeting for FS if there were more spiritual & more experienced intelligent women available that would have done a far better job than me!!!
It made me squirm............... & then having to stand up think of way to ask for JG's HS on our efforts that was different from the time I had to pray before .
I never believed I was talking to anyone when I stood up prayed for HS on our work.
What a fraud I was.

I'm very touched by what you have said about my family.
Heaven, it made me well up reading your post about you & your mum..........I'm dreading the time my parents are no longer around. Thank you for what you have said.
Also Troubled mind, this is exactly what mum & dad said to us kids, they have so many regrets. We have said to them we are glad they are our parents & that we know they only wanted the best for us. It isn't easy trying to raise a family as JW's so I know they didn't go for the easy option!!
They are dearly loved & it is sad to see age having its effect on them, especially when you consider the hope they held for so long of seeing the end of wars & famine & their boys & girls in the 'New World'.
