  1975 - Lest We Forget

  i find the topic of the 1975 end of the world scenario facinating, especially since i never lived through it.

  do you old schoolers ever feel concerned that people will one day forget about what really went down?

  with whitewashed tripe like the 'proclaimers' book informing dubs that it was just the false expectations of over enthusiastic apostates, are you at all concerned that the legacy of bullshit that is 1975 will be a forgotten moment in history blamed on you instead where the blame really belongs?

  The leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses are still too proud & puffed up with their own self importance to ever be as humble as they insist the rank & file must be.

  The leaders of the Jehovah's witnesses would rather massage & edit past articles that cause them embarrassment, with no reference to any altered texts, than admit to anything that would raise questions as to their self proclaimed position as 'the faithful & discreet slave'.

  The leaders of the Jehovah's Witnesses would rather 'deceive the unwary', use 'a cheating pair of scales' in fact any underhanded method than admit that they have been or are wrong.

  Does this remind you of a class of people that Jesus had to deal with?

  Do the Pharisees come to mind?

  Anyone take depression/anxiety meds?

  just wondering if any ex or current "concious class" dubbers out there take anything; and if it works!

  my family is still in and with everything else going on in my life, sometimes i consider asking my doc about zolft / prosac.. thanks for any replies!.

  i should just ask 85% of my congregation-mates ... lol.

  Yes I take a Selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor (SSRI).

  It helps to smooth stuff out for me & lowers anxiety.

  Wouldn't be without it!

  Blood sucking

  saw a tv programme a couple of nights ago about a family taking a gap year to travel around the world.. on one leg of their journey they lived with a remote tribe in new guinea.

  i shuddered at how quickly they were attacked by all manner of insects & leeches all intent on feasting on their blood.

  a question struck me slap in the face...........what sort of personality creates all these creatures with all manner of ingenious ways of getting to your blood & feasting upon it & then holds blood to be so sacred that you should be prepared to allow your kid to die through lack of a life saving transfusion?.

  Animals living forever

  did you ever wonder why, if god meant man to live forever, why animals would still grow old and die?.

  it seems like if he wanted to, he could have created them to live forever and then stop reproducing once there were enough....like man was supposed to once the earth was filled.

  in the "new system" (assuming there is to be one) man supposedly won't be eating meat and the animals wouldn't be eating eachother so they would die of old age and would suffer the effects of growing old as they do now.

  The borg tells us humans grow old & suffer because of 'sin & imperfection', a falling short of God's perfect standards.

  However, haven't animals always grown old & suffered the effects of ageing even though they are without sin?

  It seems the concept of ageing & suffering the painful effects of ageing were not alien to the creator's mind before the 'sinning' of the first human pair.

  most of today's jws were not members in 1975 or in the 9 years prior to 1975, so they were not eyewitnesses to what really went on during that period.

  i was a pioneer in that period, and i was an eyewitness to what went on.. those jws who are still active today and who were around in that period will typically say it was the "brothers" who "ran ahead of jehovah" and "read more into" the 1975 prediction than what was actually stated.

  1975 must be kept to the forefront in order to discredit the old fellas in Brooklyn.

  I was 15 in 1969 & I truly believed what I was being told by the Jehovah's Witnesses at that time was from Jehovah.

  I was influenced by them & didn't pursue higher education or a career & left school to pioneer.

  Oh my lord, What a fool I was to give those old men in Brooklyn any credance.

  I can never forgive them!
