i just got this information on the phone, from a local jw family member : the society is definitely downsizing its worldwide institutional network and they intend to disband their bethels in the three french overseas departements of martinique, guadeloupe an french guyana.
i've not heard about the fourth departement la reunion in the indian ocean but i gather that they might go the same way there.. i wonder , what about the decent amount of money i donated to them in order to build one of those bethels , is it bound to be siphoned off to brooklyn ?

The fact the GB & their cronies are not up front about what they are doing without putting the 'Jehovah speeding things up' spin on it, highlights their deviousness & how dangerous this organisation is.

can anyone provide the date, page and para of the watchtowers where it says in the 'koolaid' version that the org is directed by god/holy spirit and the 'public' version where it states they are not.

A recent koolaid version WT study said that complaining against the FDS & GB is tantamount to complaining against Jehovah & Jesus.
I don't have the WT's any more but I was shown it by a relative still going to the meetings & it made him think............

I always detest the examples of letters seen on some web sites written to the GB where the writer feels he/she has to stroke the feathers of the head honchos before being able to get to the reason for the letter.

Yes blondie I recall the 1984 songbook was not received well & there was a letter sent to all congregations telling us off for not appreciating the'bell like tone' of the plinky plonk piano.
The previous songbook had orchestral recordings to help make the most of the voices.

i don't know why i'm telling you all this, but i broke down in tears today.. .
i went to my grandma and grandpa's today just to visit.. most of my early memories are being with my grandma out in service while my mom was off to work.. .
i looked at her today.
This describes how my mother sometimes feels about her service & meeting attendance now she is nearing her 80's & has ill health & mobility issues.
Thankfully she is coming to terms with her limitations & though she gets totally cheesed off with getting old she feels at peace with her relationship to Jehovah no matter that the Borg implies he is not.
lil.lady you obviously have a beautiful relationship with your grandma, one that will permit you to very gently help her see Jehovah in a much kinder light than she gets from the JW reading material.

I remember how special the pioneers felt when they came back from the pio school with their 'secret' book.
I remember them getting their 'secret' book out after the Tuesday group study & forming a 'secret' huddle right in front of all the rest of us in the group without permission to see the contents of their 'secret' book.
I made my feelings about the situation plain to all there!!
My goodness our pioneers were so up themselves.
Have you ever seen the 'pioneer walk'?
It's like they are in slow motion, hilarious & annoying to watch.
