i've wondered this for sometime.
to all of the jws on the forum, what is your opinion on medical cannabis?
i support it for a couple of reasons.. 1. i've battled clinical depression since age 9. after my anti-depressants stopped working when i was 21, i heard about cannabis' positive effects on depression through the internet and a couple of documentaries so i tried it.
I remember talking to a brother at the legal dept about this. The bottom line is even though medical marijuana is legal in many States the fact that it is still illegal under federal law prohibits a "true christian" from using it. The brother or sister would not be able to be used in any priveleged capacity.

i often wonder if anyone has a good consistent leak from the top level of the wtbts.
if not how can we get one, one with high level clearance.
they can't want much, probably just another $110 per month or whatever they are getting now, times are tough.. nothing would shake the borg more than consistent correct information coming out early via the internet.. nothing is sacred, all is revealed through a well hidden leak.. mtm.

i have found myself drinking more and more since i realized that the truth was a lie just to quiet my mind.
it's not like i am a drunk or anything, it hasn't affected my work or relationships, it is that i really don't like being a slave to anyone or anything including delicious beer.
mmmm beer.... so to avoid being a slave to a habit, i have determined to stop drinking.

i have long had an idea that i think is a very powerful tool in reaching even hard-nosed jw's.. .
it would consist only of actual photographic scans of various documents, articles, photographs such as these from marvin shilmer's blog: (see next panel).
there would be no extraneous non-official text whatsoever.. it would be published the size of an old life magazine and sent anonymously to jw's at their homes.. the cover would clearly contain the words: "all contents originally published by watchtower bible &tract society".
I think that this is a great idea. The letter that Bangalore posted is a definite keeper.

i've been fighting computer problems for over a week, but i finally got a new article up at ex-jw.com about the status of the court case in san francisco.. the plaintiffs will be going to court this week and possibly again in ten days.
the big issue is the bank account statements and signature files.
plaintiffs claim that defendants opened up unauthorized bank accounts and allegedly forged the then current coboe / ceo's signature.
I remember Juan Viejo mentioning that a local reporter was interested but I haven't seen any news articles yet.
as part of my objective analysis of four month's worth of watchtower study editions from july to october 2011, i found the following gem from a question from readers, on page 22 of the august 15 magazine.

How do I know that one of the Governing Body members doesn't have some past religious beliefs or even a mental or emotional imbalance that has caused them to assume mistakenly that they have the heavenly calling?
