SAD news about OOMPA......
by redredrose inour friend, oompa, has passed away.
just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.
it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

Eric's video and audio recording of the meeting was ingenious. I think that showing what really happens behind closed doors in the JC meetings will be enlightening to many. Plus he was DFed for simply holding a different opinion than the GB.
This practice of disfellowshipping those who simply cannot believe the ever changing interpretations of the society is contrary to the concept of free speech that the organization itself champions for its own ministry. Their message is clear.....If you do not wholeheartedly believe everything we tell you (even though it is subject to change), we will take all of your friends and family from you. What a loving organization.
Eric you are the Man! I hope to see you on Dateline exposing this false religion for what it is.

Would YOU volunteer for a mission to Mars if you knew you would not return?
by Nathan Natas inone possible scenario for future manned exploration of mars is that the astronauts would be given what amounts to a "one-way ticket" with enough fuel and supplies to get them there and keep them alive but with no plans to return them to earth.. this may strike our modern sinsibilities as an absurd requirement for a mission, and yet it is not much different from what prospect was faced by ocean voyagers during the "age of exploration" right here on earth.

No. I love my wife and kids too much. I would rather have three years with them than 3 years in a capsule to go to mars. Take a look at things geologically ( in terms of time) and it becomes a stupid mission. Our probes are sending back good intel. There is no need to waste the nations money and several lives to go to mars.
Life is short. It is a waste to go to mars. Just my opinion based on where I am at in my life.

Why I know the world is flat.

The World is flat. This is the most important belief that I possess. This knowledge defines me, and is my point of reference for all that I believe.
These are the reasons that I know the world is flat:
- The Sun falls off of the edge of earth at night and reappears from below in the morning.
- Everyone who has left my village and journeyed to the West never has returned.
- The rain does not build up to a flood, because it drains off the edge of the earth.
- My family has known the fact that the world is flat for 1,000 generations. My father knew it was true, and his father all the way back to our ancient ancestors. Could all of these intelligent men be wrong for centuries? Impossible! This proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that the earth is flat.
- People have sacrificed their lives to affirm this truth that the earth is flat. Why would someone suffer and die for something that was not true?
Despite the abundant proof mentioned above, there are some among us who dispute the fact that the earth is flat. These ones are arrogant imposters, not of our sort, who are determined to corrupt our minds. They are mentally diseased.
The Devil has blinded their minds and gotten them to question the most basic of all truths. Once they question the simplest of truths and claim that the world is round; then their minds are open for all sorts of deception. One doubt is all it takes. My fellow Villagers, never let your hearts be tested by these foolish questionings of men. Always remember that one thing can never change....The world is flat. Let this truth safeguard you and reject the false arguments that the Devil makes.
