Attention Lurkers- the Paradise Resort Bus

imagine boarding a bus with your family for a long anticipated vacation.

the destination is a place that is promised to be beautiful warm and sunny.

as you are boarding the bus you are given a ticket stub with several paragraph's of fine print.

Thanks for the feedback. I remember what insired me to write this. I was sitting in the Kingdom Hall one night and I looked around at all of the people. Lots of them had been witnesses for 30+ years. Most were sittling quietly listening to Brother Drytoast give a service talk. Many in the audience had an almost vacant expression on their faces. Not happy nor sad, just blank with no spark behind their eyes. There was one old brother who was sitting across from me who had become a witness in the late 1940's. He was in his 90's and I could tell that he was lost and confused but he couldn't say anything because he had invested his life in a lie.

I thought about my own upbringing and how I was sold a story that stole my future. I thought about my own little children and wondered how long of a ride they would take if I or their mother or both of us did not get off of the Bus.

I will bet you money the elders had a clue that he had a porn problem. I feel terrible for his Wife. This will be interesting to see how the investigation shakes out.

Funny,

in my congregation there are 5 brothers with businesses providing carpet and window services. I have had to hire custodians on occasion in my line of work. 80% of janitorial and window companies are run by witnesses in my geographical area. People even crack jokes about it " jw's might be a effing cult but at least they are a clean people"

i'm not saying j.r. needs to do a press conference, but at the least they could publish it in their public literature.

This is tragic all the way around. I feel so bad for both families. Obviously Holt was a psychopath and deserves the death penalty. It is sad proof that there are creeps in all religions including the witnesses regardless of what they claim. It is a tragic waste of life and my heart hurts for Whitney's husband.

(I wonder though if the elders will have enough on Brother Holt to df him since there is not yet a confession or two witnesses?)

I said screw it and shared the new light with a loved one last night. The format I used was cedars blog and my iPad. This persons reaction was " now they are just pulling stuff out of their butt".

one question that I asked was, if the fds didn't exist until 1919 (which is based on 1914's supposed events), then how was the extremely important date of 1914 arrived at without the slaves involvement? That struck a chord, mand the response was "that's a great point! None of it makes sense."

Cedars, please keep up the good work! You are helping in ways that you don't even know.
