i heard a voice calling ''my child'', this happened while at the zoo so i was taken off guard!

OTWO - Yeah I get you're not a christian, but it's good to know you at least have a belief in something. Does your 'guide' talk to you? If so let us know won't you, I at least will listen to what you have to say and not insult your beliefs in the process.

Wow just wow. Watesprout is delusional and possibly schizophrenic so therefore wrong in what she experienced (according to you). But then you post that and you believe you are right. Can you not see what your attitude is showing. Whose to say what you believe is true or not.
Do you know what, I wouldn't dream of mocking or attacking you for what you have posted above, if you believe it then that's fine. After all, we are now free to pick and choose what we want to do with our lives and above all what we want to believe in. There really is no need to hurt other posters because their beliefs differ from our own.

Is it really ok to make cruel judgemental comments to another poster and then get even nastier because they defend themselves.

I used to but gave it up years ago. My sister died last year from smoke related lung cancer, she lived 5 months. We had no time, no time at all.
i know, i know...it's all part and parcel of the whole fading thing.....but..... i missed a phone call from an unknown number tonight....oddly enough, had this been a few months ago the number would have still been programmed in my phone.
the number was to the kingdom hall i used to attend over a year ago.
i have not set foot in it since probably late april, early may, of 2009. but tonight an elder called.
If they DF in absentia if could very well make your parents start questioning. Who knows where that could lead.

when i was an elder i used to hate the wts organising km schools on christmas or new years day ( like they are doing again this year) & i know many other elders & ms felt the same.
it always struck me as a foolish time of year to organise these meetings.
for many it was the time of the year when they had family staying on holiday.
It's control isn't it. They don't let you have fun or do anything.
In the congregation we used to attend the elders wouldn't let you have a bar at a wedding or at a congregation get together. The usual excuse was incase someone got a bit tipsy and brought reproach upon Jehovah's name. Of course if an elders offspring was getting married.... now that was a different thing.
i've been away for some time checking in on a few occasions.
i settled in tonight, decided to log in and see what's new and bam!
right on the top of the page is an advertisement for e-watchman.
Essan - You hit the nail on the head there. I stayed and posted for a while but as I broke further and further away from watchtower thinking, I realised that staying on Watchman's site was keeping me 'in' to a certain degree.
He does his bit though, he's a stepping stone for many.

it is amazing how long it took me to see that jw's are not god's organization and that their teachings do not really find support in the bible.. now i'm not really sure what i believe.
