Door-to-Door Ministry in the UK: What is it Like?
by leavingwt infor those in the uk, what was it like to engage in the door-to-door ministry?
i watched the video below, today, and the author states that pushing your religion on others in the uk is considered crass.
further, he says that religion is a very private matter.

I found it to be really boring. Door after door with nobody in, or no one willing to answer the doorbell.
There were pockets of Born again Christians (very often a whole street) who would open the door and start praising the Lord and telling you that only Jesus saves. As a J dub that didn't bode well at all because we all know, only the GB deserves praise and only the GB saves, so we would just leg it as quickly as we could.
In general the area I came from the people really were not interested.

New Beginnings!!!!
by JWFreak inwell things have changed big time for me.
on the 3rd of dec. finally, i have left my work at bethel and moved almost 500 kilometres away to a new life.. some of you were aware of my work in a european branch, and have kept my confidence.
for this i am eternally grateful...you know who you are.. the huge weight that has been taken off my shoulders is both a comfort and a relief.. when i settle into my new home properly, i intend to write some memoirs of life at the branch, hoping that others will find it of interest.. for now my future is for the first time uncertain and that makes it very very exciting, but i am no longer under the control of others yay!!.

by varian init s me again....and yes, i m still alive.. first of all: i am really sorry for causing some trouble lately.
i had the intention of taking an overdose the other day.
to be perfectly honest, i was drunk out of my mind when i wrote my last post, and someone i knew gave me all kind of pills to take.

We've had about 18 inches, 16 came down in one night. We Brits just ain't used to it.
People are getting out now but it has been really bad and so, so cold. My poor little dog had to burrow her way under the snow and then stick her head out so she could get her bearings. Saying that, she has really enjoyed herself, she just loves it lol.

sometimes, when i wake up in the morning...
by varian in...i lay on my back, gazing out of the window, and stare into the sky.. many things wander through my mind, and i can t find my piece of mind.
things like "who am i, what am i, where did all this come from, why is the moon shining on my face, why did god do all the things, and why are things the way they appear?".
then i ask myself: what about all the religions in the world, whats all this confusing stuff the wts teaches (prophecy, blood doctrine), and all the thing the bible doesn t teach?.

If you want answers and have faith then go to Christ and ask Him.... he is the one who told us to ask for ears to hear.
May you have the peace of our dear Lord shine upon you.
