  I Heard A Person I Studied With Doesn't Go To Meetings Anymore!!!

  it was said that i "brought this family into the truth".. i'm happy to report that this woman and her eldest son no longer go.

  i heard the other former bethelite children no longer want to converse with her.. i always knew at least, this woman would realize it wasn't the truth after all..

  i know mimimus.....i always hate it when i hear of people "losing family members" sometimes for life.....it is so grievous...i didn't mean to make your happy thread a "downer" sorry....at times i just want to make them stop it,,,make them think what is happening,,,i want to shake all of them and wake them up...."sigh".....i'm done now....

  i think it is sad....she lost half of her kids,,,who now won't speak to her...a loss so significant,,,the void will never be able to be filled...it is heart wrenching....i am going through this,,,and for me,,,"that" pain does not ever leave....

  New Here....and a Brief Intro

  after lurking around here for about a month, i thought it's appropriate to introduce myself to such fine group of people.. i was never a jw.

  been married to a baptized mate for over 15 years.

  my wife was never technically all in, more of a fader, rarely went to meetings, the occasional memorial, a convention once or twice.

  at 45a.. employer contends[ 2 ] that the board erred when it determined that claimant had shouldered her burden of proving that she had a necessitous and compelling reason for terminating her employment.

  .. if it is determined that beliefs are sincerely held, then it must also be established that those beliefs are religious in nature.

  on 9/11, an elder: it's sad but exciting!on a loved one dying: we can cope far better with this due to the resurection.on the tsunami, an elder: if they think this is bad, wait untill they see what happens at armageddon (smiling).on armageddon, an elder: i want to be able to see the people dying.on execution at god's hands, a pioneer: it'll put them out of their misery.on the swine flu virus, a pioneer: it'll mean less people for jehovah to kill at armageddon.on the birth of my daughter, a prominent elder: be carefull not to fall into the trap of 'baby worship'on the death of my non jw grandmother, an elder: be carefull at the funeral not to become involved in false worship (don't sing my grans favourite hymn)on the topic of my non jw sisters wedding, the po: if it falls on the weekend of the convention, you should make your stand & not go to the wedding.there is, of course, a normal response to each of these situations.

  i cannot be around witnesses....really....because of their absolute vicious reasoning....talk about satanic....wanting people to die,,,and then watching it and taking delight in it!!! shudder...doesn't get much sicker than that...

  another special assembly day experience .... this is one that gets me.

  one of the talks went on about patience, stick with it, almost there, don't give up on jehovah, he's not slow respecting his promise, his patience saves lives ... etc.

  it's not jehovah that i gave up on.
