Leaving Jehovah's Witnesses is a Negative, Depressing Thing To Do, but....

over the years since i left jehovahs witnesses, one of the more fascinating things to observe, and really to me, the most important, is what to do after you leave.. to be sure, no one leaves because of a positive experience.

and therein lies the issues with leaving.

basically, people leave in three general ways: 1. they, like myself, resign or leave due to a disagreement.

im so worried about my daughter ,need some advice please !

my daughter was abused by an ex min servant age 13 , she is now 22 and has been with her loving caring boyfriend for a year (he is her 1st boyfriend ) over the years she has been bulimic ,self harmed and suffered low self esteem , i thought she had got better since the relationship with her boyfriend started , i found out yesterday that she is no better at all and im frightened for her , her boyfriend said "that bastard haunts her" she suffers flashbacks and post traumatis stress disorder , due to the horrific things the abuser did and said to her , which i cant bare to go into detail about as i try to block it out my mind , unfortunatly my poor girl cannot !

she has had a lot of help by a psyciatrist , counsellor etc but is no better so what can i do to help ?

have any of you been in this situation ?

Let's have the book study at your house.

my sister moved to a affluent suburb in a capital city less than five years ago; and rented a small detatched unit and got a full-time job.

i visited her a couple of years ago, and was surprised to find the tuesday night meeting was held there every week.

at the time i thought it was an 'honour' bestowed upon her for all her years as a regular pioneer: but later i started wondering why, in a suburb with so many big prestige houses and families, would she be chosen to host the book study?

had bookstudy also.....moved and continued to have bookstudy.....i think a part of it is that every saturday we had field service arrangements also... and if you have "meeting" for field service at your house,,,,,AND ....don't go out!!!! well,,,,,the eye brows were raised,,,,to say the least...

i got so,,,,i would not even get out of bed,,,,,yup....locked the bedroom door and wouldn't come out until everyone left...the congregation had a hard time with me...."rebellious" elders wife...... then.... peaches

here we go:does anybody know any witnesses who got baptised in order to achive something else instead of worshipping jehovah?for example i know a jw who got baptised because his only motivation was to get laid (get married) with a female jw..

get a different psychiatrist....medical doctor....she needs medications for depression,,,ptsd,,,,etc....she also might need a "job coach"....contact a social worker about getting this or your doctor might know,,,,it does NOT mean she is slow...it means she needs some mental assistance until she gets on her feet....

there are also programs that she can be enrolled in....none of these things are permanent...she could also get a "case worker" for assistance...

she could UN-ENROLL,,,when ever she felt strong enough....these things take time to work....HOWEVER ....with the right support she will get better...how much better is the next question.....these things "COULD" haunt her for the rest of her life..but to a different degree...

get her some help...there is financial assistance available for these things...take advantage of what is out there....the world has alot to offer...get her into a routine....and get her off the psych ward....yes,,,been there,,,done that.....

the content of the program presented at the circuit assembly: safeguard your spirituality served as a re-affirmation that the wt/gb is loosing the grip of rank & file.

they are becoming boulder and boulder in their blatant use of mind control techniques; in my opinion, their mind control techniques used to be more subtle.

but the content of the program in this past assembly clearly reflected that they are acting out of frustration and desperation.

if your a parent,,train your children to be a pioneer one day..."JUST like mommy or daddy,,,or both" ......sounds like there is going to be a few years left,,,to train the children to be pioneers one day....oh god!!!

i really needed to find a place to write this as i don't believe i can talk with anyone else about my account, perhaps it is similar to a lot of yours.. last night for whatever reason i said i would go online and look up information on jws.

i have been raised as a jw all my life and baptized the last few years.

i looked at www.freeminds.org and www.sixscreensofthewatchtower.com and couldn't believe how easily the whole of my lifes teachings were refuted.. i can't stop my brain from running, bs just in regards to theology alone (1914, paradise earth, celebrations etc.
