  this is bailey.

  she turned 2 in march.

  the day before her birthday, my son (her dad) was working with numbers with her and pointed to the number 4. she said "daddy, i have to be 2 before i can be 4!.

  my daughter went to a dc this july 4th weekend, and i am curious as to where it could have been.. i'd rather not ask her.

  UMass Amherst, MA in the Mullins Center. The Hotels are in Hadley, Deerfield, Springfield, W. Springfield and some nasty ones in Chicopee and the Campus Hotel right on campus. There are no conventions held in Worcester.

  There are about 7 conventions there since Spanish now switched from Connecticut to Amherst, MA. Beautiful area and wonderful restaurants.

  Speaking from someone who is still active I am surprised at your attitude and remotely even visiting this site let alone posting. If your elder body aka BOE got wind of you posting on this site you would be in a JC meeting faster than you would ever imagine. You can condemn me but I a least try and respect everyone on here.

  Were there 200 JW's disfellowshipped in 1980 all at once - in Cleveland, Ohio?

  i have some old notes from a 1981 circuit assembly.

  brother frank bartell was the district overseer.

  i am pretty sure its 1981 or 1982.. anyway, in his last talk he said that there was a terrible situation in cleveland ohio the previous year (1980).

  I know something big happened back then where a lot of JWs were df'd for something to do with sex. I do not remember the #, I was a kid but we had friends from there and their Dad was an elder who was on some of the committees.

  Discussion on the way out of convention

  sunday evening there were a group of sisters talking on their walk back to the carpark.

  "so if the generation just means that your life overlapped with people who were around in 1914, couldn't that just go on forever?".

  ""i guess...." (looked at each other confused, then at me as i walked past).. to which i said: "oh yes, remember the days when the generation was a simple 70 years from 1914?".

  There were some saying that the WBTS made they change since they realize this original interpretation was not "clear". I wanted to hurl and all I could say was I do not like how they can say "oops this is now what the generation will not pass" meant. I know they are trying to give th society the benefit of the doubt but not to even scratch their heads and say wait a minute (if even for a split second) is nuts.

  is this the same as bribing your way up?.

  Yes we have contributed but the CO/DO or a Bethel Speaker (even a struggling Pioneer) never know it was from us. A card with cash and it is all anonymous. So in a "sense" yes a green handshake but we chose to never reveal it was us.

  I completely agree, this story makes my blood boil. I will say I mentioned to my husband that I would leave our KH if someone like that was allowed in. He knows I am very passionate about children who are abused. Jonathan Perffeto needs to go away and be locked up forever.

  apparently people ( like me) from the home counties of england don't have an accent, its just english...?.

  for the record i would say my accent is rather like kira knightly.

  Megyn Kelly hit the nail on the head. He lost his right to do anything and she said basically "boo hoo he cannot go to church". He can worship from home and I guess he admitted to molesting 6 children between the ages of 2-7.
