  Sass---Crash games are cool...haven't seen any of those type of games fro PS2 yet!

  Simon---Command & Conquer is my type of game too...I like my similar PC games like...Total Annihilation and StarCraft too. I'm lookin' forward to gettin' those type of games for my PS2.
  BTW...RR said that the length of my image at the bottom of my posts is causin' a problem!?? ...haven't noticed myself...if it is...let me know...I'll try somethin' else.

  Seven---If ya like coolboarders...you will luv SSX for PS2...same deal...just waaaay better in every way.

  Well thanx for the responses guys...errr ladies Whassup with that!

  Sevenofnine---no worries with Shaq n Kobe...that aren't goin' anywhere with the contracts they got...plus Jerry West was brought in to smoooooth things over...media loves this stuff.
  Big Romey fan too...I listen to his radio show most days...He lives by me so I see him n the wife at some breakfast places we both go to.
  Yup...I'm a Clone!

  mommy---I've met Shaq too...yup..he's big alright...met Kobe too..got him to sign his card for me...cool guys!

  Ciao V...like Horry too...he's done nothing but help the Lakers...Love the Dream...he is my favorite centr of all-time...and ya know the Laker have had some good ones!

  harmony---sad stuff has been happenin to your wolves ...luv KG's game and his personality...but I think Kobe is closer to the next Michael than KG...he's got more freedom to do his thing!

  What are the reasons?

  hi all,.

  someone asked me the other day why i am so interested in reading about jws,ex jws and things that are going on with the wts.. i think for the most part,only those who have been involved with the wts can understand why we are so interested in the subject.. of course having believed everything the wts has told us over the years and dedicating our lives to it kept us tied in with them.. what are the different reasons that you all have for continuing to be preocupied with the wts?.

  hello my name is gene, i have been disfellowshiped for two weeks.why is it so wrong for brothers and sisters not to talk to me?

  ?im not apostate,ive never disrupted the congergation.my brothers an elder and i dont want to tell him or my family.. whats the big big deal???????????

  After reading the previous comments...here are some of my thoughts.

  When I would serve on committees...the most important factor(by the brothers not on power-trips) was...was the person repentant.
  If they were judged as unrepenant...then they were a threat to others...so were disfellowshipped...protecting others by not allowing them to talk to them.
  The problem was...what was repentant to one elder...was not necessarily repentant to another brother.
  For instance...a brother could be VERY repentant at the hearing...but...he was not the one that came forward about the wrongdoing...it was someone else...so...that was what some would dwell on...and DF the person(this type of confusion is one reason I stepped aside).
  So really...only trouble-makin' sinners should be DFd...which is why some of the people mentioned(David-Solomon) would not need to be DFd............nor would Jesus...or myself for that matter...have any problem associatin' with those type of people...to the contrary...since we are all sinners...the best kind of people to be around...are those who recognize that they are...and try not to live in it!

  JW Preaching Work Ends in 20th Century ?

  page 12 of the january 1,1989 wt original magazine paragraph 8 ends with the statement that the apostle paul's missionary activity laid a foundation for a work that would be completed in our 20th century.".

  (a subtle prophecy that 'the end' will come by the year 2000 a.d.).

  this sentence is changed in the bound volume reprint to read "a work that would be completed in our day.

  Well...the WTBTS doesn't really know!

  In the Rev. book it said YES!
  In the later edition it said NO!
  In the Insight book it said YES!

  I remember this very well because I was tryin' to conduct the Book study...usin' my old Rev. book(which was all studied up from the first time we studied it)...only to find out how necessary it was to have the NEW later edition...so I could be teachin' current "light" [8>]

  i've spent most of my web time over the last 2 years at another site full of ex-jdubs...i'd say about 50 people post there on occasion...many of that number regularly.. what struck me from the beginning, as i got to know the people posting there was...how many were now atheists...non-believers in god...the bible...pretty much anything they once held sacred as jw's!.

  i dare say...90 some % do not consider themselves christian now!.

  Reguarding those hard questions(existance of evil/pain,evolution,afterlife for the unsaved,why only Christianity saves,science n the Bible)...a really good book that hit home for me on those issues is...

  i dare say...90 some % do not consider themselves christian now!.

  I think that's cool that you are familiar with Grace to You...I'm able to listen to the program everyday, in addition to hearin' John on Sundays.
  I'm very familair with Calvary Chapels...they were started here in Cailf. and my brother goes to the original one in Costa Mesa...very family friendly churches...and the messages are as you say.
  Re: Mormons...they probably have the most farout views of any accepted group calling themseles Christians.

  Your point about 1 John 5:7 is well taken...but I think the Dead Sea scrolls showed that there has been little or no change in the Bible MMS...the 1 John 5:7 instance was an obvious,blatant bias that was caught by looking at the early MMS.

  Thanx for the thoughts...I enjoy hearin' from seekers.

  Hey RR,

  If ya don't mine my askin'...I was wonderin' about your Church and what your involvement is there.

  Like I've mentioned...I go to a large non-denominational church here in LA...pastor by John MacArthur...a well respected author/teacher.

  Good to see ya have kept the faith!
