Stupid question, but where the heck is Canada on the list? and what country is Frankreich? I thought he used to be the backup QB for the Buffalo Bills.

Letter to the Society and their response in regard to Creation book
by DevonMcBride inthis is a web site that may interest many readers here.
not only is there a critical evaluation of the creation book, but dimaggio sent letters to the wt.
their response is of course pathetic.

I abhorred the attitude of the branch when they basically said, "the Society is not beyond contstructive criticism" but them lambasted and threatened DiMaggio for the "way" that he did it... thereby deflecting attention away from the issues he raised. Pure arrogance displaying none of the humility that they supposedly allude to.

Mischief Idea
by joenobody innow normally i don't have the time or patience for the threads that suggest ideas for making mischief at jw meetings etc., but i thought about an idea that would be pretty funny.
alot of halls use wireless mikes these days.
it'd be pretty funny to get some inside information and find out what model and frequency a local kh was using and add some dialogue to an in-progress meeting from outside with your own mike... snicker when the speaker says something ridiculous, whisper "baloney" after a bald-face lie, impersonate jah and tell everyone you are very displeased and to cut the crap already...

And please avoid statements like the following:
Alan F has an agenda which is aligned to that of a person who has rejected Christ and has become an unbeliever. How can anyone who professes Christianity choose to believe his utterances.
It could just as easily be said that:
Scholar has an agenda which is aligned to that of a person who blindly accepts the Watchtower Society as authority instead of Jesus. How can anyone who professes Christianity choose to believe his utterances.
Attacking the messenger instead of the message only implies that you haven't got good arguments and factually correct information to supply a retort.
I have tired of this thread regardless. To me, the response from Writing Committee from the call to the Society is sufficient to prove their mistake in thinking it means "equate" versus "connected".

Watchtower Officials Spill The Beans!
by Voyager intwo high ranking watchtower officials admit to quite a lot in these official committee hansard documents.
if you are one of jehovah's witnesses, perhaps you would like to read how two senators take the watchtower officials apart piece by piece.
especially on the blood issue, several times the watchtower officials walk right into a wall.. the watchtower officials admit that the tax imposed by france could cripple the entire organization.

Yeesh... what embarrassing arguments they came to the table with such as why JWs make better adoptive parents (they don't participate in dangerous sports).
The simple reasoning on the blood issue was brilliant esp. the comments re: the Jews view on blood.

Scholar, your attempts at a response are sad and self-parodying. I sensed no fear in AlanF's post. I would like to take your arguments seriously, but you aren't playing by the same rules as others in this debate. You do not respond to and address any specific questions posed to you. It seems you are deflecting attention away from what you actually said in private correspondance with others by whining (and yes it comes off that way) that those conversations were for private consumption.
I have a simple and straightforward question for you: Will you admit to the lie you have been caught in? I (and dozens of other thread readers) cannot be bothered to read another word of your hard work that you apparently put into your posts if you won't be honest with us as we can read in plain view how you have tripped yourself up. Is this one battle over some long-dead Adventist's comments and the Society's misinterpretation of his writings so pivotal to your belief in 1914 and the FDS, that it would completely shatter your faith if you admitted they were indeed wrong?
