Some twisted psychopath kidnapped my brick!!!
by Elsewhere insadly i must report that shortly after my bricks were delivered to the construction site of my new house, some sick twisted psychopath went and kidnapped a brick for ransom!
granted, i must admit that there are some very suspicious circumstances surrounding the alleged "kidnapping".
i know that particular brick and he has always been a troublemaker and prone to violence.

Oh man! JCanon ain't got nothing on this guy...
by joenobody inwhile reading the "pyramids vs. floods" thread, one poster slipped in a reference to this website: www.bibledecoded.com .
umm... after reading this for a few minutes (esp.
the history and purported interaction with the governing body) i couldn't get over just how out there the site was.

hahahaha - after reading their FAQ and seeing the number of rules they have, I am pretty convinced this is an elaborate parody. The guy who put this together has WAY too much time on his hands.

Haunting music
by Simon ini watched donnie darko a few days ago (great film) and it had a fantastic song in it at the end that is incredibly haunting.
called "mad world" by gary jules, it's a remake of a tears for fears song.

It's one of my favourite movies as well. The song is a remake of a "Tears for Fears" song - it's very haunting indeed and fits the movie perfectly.

Anyone remember the paranoia over lecithin? I remember we couldn't eat Sugar Smacks because they contained lecithin. It wasn't until someone in our congregation wrote Kelloggs and got clarification that it was SOYA lecithin and not extracted from animal blood. I was confused as hell as a young kid about how a cereal could have blood in it. Assinine stuff upon reflection.

What is your Favorite Scene from a Movie?
by Sweetp0985 ini thought about this topic last night for the board when watching one of my favorite movies.. 1. the man from snowy river- the part when they are going after the expensive colt and they get to the edge of the cliff and all the other riders stop and "jim" keeps going and leaps down the cliff after the wild horses.
i absolutely love that part of the movie...everytime its on i have to watch it, if not just to see this part only.. 2. love and basketball- when she tells him she will play for his heart...awwww first time i started crying.
and then the music they had playing in the background made it even worse.

Sound of Music: The shootout scene with the Nazis, where Liezel the incorrigible one puts a cap into an SS Officer.
Goodfellas: The big closing musical song and dance number with DeNiro and Pesci.
Return of the Jedi: Yoda's moving soliloquy on the merits of an all-Ewok diet.
