  Is it okay to be antisocial?

  ever since i was a kid, my father would tell me to quit being antisocial.

  to me, i was just playing with my favorite best friend in her room after the bookstudy.

  i had no desire to sit amongst the bookstudy group and listen to things that didnt interest me.

  It sounds like abandonment issues and your just putting up your wall, and since you tend to be introverted these two feelings kicked in at the moment.

  I understand the Introvert, I am just as happy as can be entertaining myself, but your hubby is right you do need to give people a chance.

  Your sister is shunning you, she has abandoned you, I think it is a natural reaction for you to automatically put a wall up and if you agree with this then your level of awareness has just increased and your now equipped with "WHY" you do this.

  If you take yourself out of the equation, think of how the guy and girl felt about you shunning them for drinks.

  i'm new here, this is my first post.

  have been reading so many comments from you guys over the past few months and now i can finally comment too!.

  it is amazing how long it took me to see that jw's are not god's organization and that their teachings do not really find support in the bible.. now i'm not really sure what i believe.

  i wanted to make a few comments to those of you that have recently begun to question or have already left the wt and made their way onto this site.

  this site is a great resource to learn how others are coping with leaving the organization and moving on into a fulfilling life.. i wanted to write this post because i think reading something like this would've been helpful to me to understand where a lot of people that comment on this site are coming from.

  you are going to hear from a wide range of people that have moved on to a diverse range of beliefs.

  I never really thought of myself as an atheist and to be honest I never researched the term, but when you quoted the scrip in Jer. my thought immediately was he was talking about the ego.

  Then I read MJNM post about the ego....Does that make me an atheist?

  I have done some research about God's name in Hebrew and what that stands for "I am that I am" and I am quite satisfied with that.

  As far as Jesus Christ well he is who I daily try to imitate and follow, he was the perfect example of a perfect person. I believe his role was simply showing people you don't have to suffer, their is a better way of life and he paved the way of teaching people how to do it.

  All I know today is I wasn't alive when Jesus was around, I only have immediate access to 66 canonized books of the bible that were written many years after Jesus died. I grew up a witness, so it took me a hell of a long time to reverse the brain wash from the organization.

  My core belief is I believe in Intelligent design but today I call the design God. I do admit my eyes were opened when I starting reading David Hawkins books, also there is another book called Ennegram for Christians.

  @Borgdrone I would show up five min. late to meeting and exit quickly and make them hunt you down, and when they do in a calm voice stay you are reporting 0 because you have been stressed out, if they give you a speech turn your hearing off and thank them for the call or just smile when they are talking to you.

  You can stand in your power without getting offensive to them, at this point your reversing roles, kill them with kindness just like they have "killed" you with kindness since JW's are the happiest people on the planet

  SERIOUS QUESTION: just how many demons will fit inside a person?

  do they take up space?.

  do they infest our cells and peer out like they are trapped inside a jelly bean?.

  Demon is another term for "negative" and since everything is reduced to a frequency then anger is a demon, judgemental is a demon because it is opposite of a "fruit" love, joy, peace, etc.

  That's how I see it and that is what brings me peace.

  no more lurking...hello eveyone

  about a year ago i went through a mild meltdown.

  it hit me fast i had panic attacks and became angry with all the control in my life.

  (being a jw) i had just found out i was being screwed on a real estate development project by another self righteous jw i have known for a long time but this was a big loss (about 4 months pay plus expenses).

  dealing with a lack of spirituality

  how do you deal with the thought of god after leaving the wts ?.

  i left two years ago, and i have always had a certain amount or "need" for a spiritual side of my life.. growing up catholic was good, when my parents became jw's suddenly everything/religion that was not bound together with the.

  wt society and their teachings was completley wrong.. so now that i have left, i have a hard time trying to understand different religions.

  Spirituality is different for everyone, some live by sports , some need to belong to a group (religions, AA), some as esoteric tree huggers, Politics, Motorheads, the list can go on and on.

  At the end of the day your fully equipped with the capacity to make a choice and being kind to humanity and not judging them no matter what they choose to believe in is spirituality to me. We all go through "trials" and how we deal with it peacefully is how we make it through the "tribulation"
