by tenyearsafter ini have relayed how "broken" my mother is when it comes to reasoning on her beliefs as a jw...and my not believing the jw story any longer as an ex-jw.
it seems to be a common story of cognitive dissonance, etc., etc,.
now comes a classic new angle that really has me scratching my head.

by hijosdelawatch ini'm still inside because of family, friends... all my life is there.
i used to have doubts (one year ago) but now i only have certainties about the org.
another reason for staying, at least for now, is i'm living at home with my jw mother and she allowed me to go to college.. i seem to everyone in the congregation a normal witness but when i sit down in the meetings i do know 99% what i listen to is just the same failed prophecies and doctrines repeated always in the same way.. i'm now being "persuaded" to accept my appointed as a ms. though i'm not doing nothing special to get it, i'm serving in a foreign language territory simply because i couldn't hold on with the pressure of my family and elders from my congregation.

But have it happen in a Kingdom Hall and all H*E*L*L would break loose, sending the hounders after the Tebowing perpetrators.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't "all" Kingdom Halls insured by Momma WT herself?
If so, betcha that if there was a chain of these throughout several places the WT would be going to the insurance companies real soon.
Even then, the possible harm and threat to responders isn't worth the delight of seeing the ol' gal WTB&TS take the fall on a few hundred$ of thousand$.

How big a fee does the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society get for booking Jehovah's Witnesses into Convention Hotels?

For the CA and District Conventions, the WTS doesn't get a kickback in cash for the amount of rooms publishers rent.
They do get a number of rooms free. So they need to meet a quota of booked rooms, once that's done they can have the DO, CO's and invited Bethel speakers, visiting Missionaries etc. stay for free.
The discounts on rooms aren't that great compared with what some traveling salespeople and public sector workers can get through their employer's deals with big hotel/motel chains.

Too fat for the kingdom of God !

congregation were asked by the circuit overseer to vote on whether to disfellowship overweight brothers and sisters.. this was very troubling to dick for two reasons.. 1... brother borghi thought it would be the responsibility of the faithfull and discrete slave to lay out a precise directive on the basis for this unusual request.
what criteria would have to be met to make such an awkward decision?.

Well there was this youngish CO named Palen who equated apostate literature with a menstrual blood stained rag.
And said aloud during his first meeting with the local BOE, "Well this is what they are offering!", and he thrust his right hand out and swung it with pinched thumb and index finger, left and right, as if he were holding a rag and shaking it in front of our faces.
"Well, what are you going to do? Aren't you going to recoil in disgust?" he said, "Well, that's what your response needs to be to apostate literature!"
Day after on Sat. morning he held up the WT and Awake! in the same manner while talking about presentations.
Strange thing is I immediately got a mental picture of him holding a WT and Awake! and put that together with what he was saying to us elders the previous night about the blood stained rag.
He sure had some very vivid illustrations.
