i have been thinking about this for a while now, and i have decided to launch a non-profit internet radio talk show centered around jw/wtbts issues and related topics that may or may not be specific to the jw religion.
long before i jumped in to the six screens controversy, i considered doing something like this, and i think i am now ready to begin.
the format will be non-sensationalist, informative, educational, rational, objective, and i want no recognition for myself, and as little attention as possible.
Who would be your guests? if you have any in mind right now?
I do have at least two guests lined up for the first two broadcasts, one of which might be a surprise to some. Anyone who has a credible coherent story to tell that can be fact-checked and corroborated is welcome. I would not presume any one particular person should go slumming over to my lame internet radio JW talk show, but I have a crush on a couple OG xJW's, and they are more than welcome to talk about their work over at my crib.

Great PC!! Let's what you have stirring in your pot. I'm with Lovelylil on whether this will be a show primarily focused on the WT(doctrines, life, etc), anti christianity or roughly both. I know your working on the structure of the show so when you ready let us know. Maybe now you will have your contrast to the Six Screens tele-Conf.
There are a great many topics and issues that are not specific to the JW religion and the WTBTS, and those will be discussed. No Christian bashing, no venom against religion in general. This venue is strictly ball room dancing.
Any program I undertake will not be meant to compete with Six Screens, or be an alternative. How does one set out to compete with poison, or offer some sort of an alternative to glass eating? When I first began considering this kind of thing, Rick and the six screens was barely a memory in my mind. Of course, there will be a contrast without any effort whatsoever.

PC, is this program going to be anti WT only or anti Christian? You know me by now, I have to ask this. LOL
Everyone here, I think, knows I am an atheist. The subject matter of any program I might do will be about the organization, and JW related information completely devoid of my personal beliefs or opinions about religion in general.

I don't like the way you handled the Rick Fearon thing. Just because the dude's whacked doesn't mean he deserves to be publically ridiculed. If someone wants to follow him they are responsible for his lazy journalistic techniques, it should end there not on some smear youtube video.
I appreciate your criticism. Although we are all xJW's here, it is kind of painfully obvious that we are not all on the same team. I have to be critical of Fearon, however. He is perpetrating a hoax on the "xJW community", he misrepresents most of us here, and it should be exposed, and I will try and keep my personal feelings out of it, but it simply isn't over.
Basically I think you are rough around the edges and need some sharpening, imo. That doesn't mean I don't believe you could do a wonderful job. You got the passion the talent and the brain.
Thank you. I intend to be at my best and most objective with this endeavor. Six Screens will not have any mention on my program as long as I can help it.

I wish I had more time to respond but I am getting ready to leave to step into the real world and go protesting in front of my old kingdom hall. I wish some of you could step into the real world with me. I guess most of you like living in an illusionary world ,a world where you can hide from the Org.

5: with all the hate against him, it is quite suprising that this has not insinuated violence against him.
There are some who have openly expressed their desire to see a chalk outline around Fearon's body, not for his Six Screens persona (which is absolutely nuts), but for personal business dealings, for mischaracterizing other xJW's credible work and message, for various forms of slander, and other character flaws in his personal dealings with individuals that are shady and dishonest. These things will come to light soon.
I think you might be mischaracterizing what so many on this board are actually expressing, however. Utter disgust is probably closer to the mark. And as for language, pointing out and focussing on the fact that somebody used a four-letter word while expressing their feelings and thoughts is petty, and draws attention away from the issue. It's not childish to use profanity; it's childish to take exception to it and make it the issue.

Rick, please post the church call too because on it you ask How it went with johnny when you aleady knew how it went from johnny. This is WHY I felt like it was a set up against me. And the call proves you already had testimony from 2, johnny and shiela about the call BEFORE Monday. And you know what the WT says about "two witnesses"

The information and message will always come first. I simply want to provide as neutral a venue as possible for anyone (within reason of course) to come on and discuss their message.
I cannot predict the success or failure of this endeavor, but I at least want to give it a try. I would like my show to become an effective vehicle in reaching doubting and questioning JW’s, as well as share important information with those who don’t know that much about the organization of JW’s.
I will provide more information as I get closer to the launch date.

PC I know what your saying is right.In fact everyone is telling me that the last few days. My Grandson has gone to jail again. EVERYONE is telling me he is OLD ENOUGH to know he must pay for his actions,( just like Rick)BUT!!!!! I want to help get him out!!!!! O.K. I wont !!!!because his Father says "leave him there" I guess I have a screwed up LOVE!!!!! I dont know if you all remember exJW James Aldridge jr.? He murdered some one.& was in jail ,we became good friends ( He was executed in the end.) And used to tell me all the mistakes he made, after the "BROTHERS" ????? Kicked him out > Then he turned "bad" in anger.Which ended up in a gone wrong robbery.Murder.....!!!!! He did come to realize all he SHOULD pay .for....before his execution. He did come to know the REAL truth >Jesus before he died.
Your love and compassion are beautiful and anyone would be darn lucky to have you in their corner. If Rick's behavior is due to trama from being in the organization, then he should put down his sword, stop swinging it at everything that moves, and go get some counselling for post traumatic stress disorder. He is simply not doing himself, his wife, or the questioning and doubting JW's any good. It became very evident the first time I listened to his conference call that the majority of his followers are emotionally and mentally unstable, bitter, and are willing to go along with any lie as long as it might take a chunk out of the WTS. People who are alike tend to like each other, flock together. It's a psychotic mess in there, lol. I am sorry about your grandson, too.

ha ha, but sincerely, sweet granny, at what point do grown ups get to take responsibility for what they cause? It would seem to me that if Rick was so concerned about his wife's health issues, he would not be subjecting her to the things he is causing. A husband is supposed to be the front line of defense for his woman, and would either want to protect her or keep her out of the scene altogether. She is simply part of his image, a device he uses, controls, and parades in front of others. He even throws HER under the bus when it suits his purposes. Talk to he who is dangling her, not RF's detractors
Whatever Rick pretends his cause is, no cause is important enough to put a loved one at Risk healthwise.
