  True Stories from the Tower - Part 1 "From Anointed to Pedophile to Bethelite"

  before i dive into the actual write-up of this experience, let me put some things straight.. i have thought long and hard if i should write more about my experiences during the 10+ years at different branches.

  during these years i worked from financial department, service department, home office and different it assignments.

  as you can imagine one sees and hears and reads a lot of stuff going through different stations in different countries.

  My ex-husband (Bethelite 4 yrs 1966-1969) told me zillions of stories consisting of homosexuality, falsifying construction codes, complete disdain for R&F, paying off city officials to bypass construction codes, sexual perversion, hypocrisy, elitism, alcoholism, etc. etc.) so long ago I can't remember everything now....

  The strange thing is that after our divorce (and his run-ins with the hierarchy), after his fornicating with other women, after him telling me he was attracted to young girls (the younger the better), after his confessions to me of hitting on various congregation women....

  HE was the one who stayed with JW's - and remarried I believe.

  I walked away from him and JW's in 1976 (officially DA'd) and never looked back.

  Except for here - this is how far-reaching the mind control is - why am I still interested?

  Well my interest has indeed waned, but I still check in now and then to read very interesting threads like this one. Completely validates my rejection of the WTBTS.

  i believe that the older you are the harder it is to leave the watchtower.. .

  i am attempting to get a list of ages people learnt the "truth" and what age they left.. .

  If I asked for a loan from the WBTS would they give it to me?

  if this were the "organization" that jesus chose in 1914.. err 1919, wouldn't the principles that he laid out while on earth apply to this organization as well?.

  matthew 5:42 "give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.".

  so if jw's all asked for loans from the org, every now and then, it would be the orgs responsibility to grant those loans (interest free).

  The do not call list

  i have posted before about my experience trying to get on the "do not call" list.

  despite repeated requests, a phone call to the hall and mailing a letter, and then giving a copy to a jw, they just keep coming by.

  i was going to put up a no soliciting sign, then i can call the police on them, but my husband doesn't want me to do it.. so, i decided if they come back i would have some fun.

  The Savannah Disputation

  saw a new play at the penguin rep theatre, located in stony point, ny - rockland county, this afternoon, called "the savannah disputation".

  it was, i am sure, patterned on jw's knocking on doors and their views on the catholic church.

  a lot of the dialogue was exactly what i used to preach, although, at one point they pointedly say, oh no, this is not jw's, jw's is the watchtower.. many of the plays that start here eventually make it to broadway.. this plays thru 6/8.

It was, I am sure, patterned on JW's knocking on doors and their views on the Catholic Church. A lot of the dialogue was exactly what I used to preach, although, at one point they pointedly say, oh no, this is not JW's, JW's is the Watchtower.

  Many of the plays that start here eventually make it to Broadway.

  This plays thru 6/8. Any JW who knocked/knocks on doors should appreciate this play, and its humor and its irony. Go see it.

  Were you 'alive in '75' and how was that year for you?

  i was a junior borgite in 1975. i remeber looking at the calendar at work in october and thinking: 'armageddon isn't here yet.....and it doesn't feel like it will be here anytime soon either!'.

  i was surprised that jehovah hadn't obeyed the superior command to bring the big 'a' as instructed to him by fred franz.

  how dare god disobey the jw leader!!!!!.

  Thoughts on going back, am I the only one that feels this way?

  hello everyone, i know you have heard this topic before and your probably thinking.

  ...not again lol.. but i was wondering if anyone has thought of going back for the same reasons as myself, i don't think its the truth but i searched and my conclusion is that other religions don't have the truth, they are all wrong in my opinion.

  if there is no other religion to go too, why leave were i was born and raised.
