  I lean closer to an agnostic. Just not sure.... there is 'something'.... but is it the JW's version of God? No.

  I used to consider myself a Christian after I left.....but....to be candid, I believe I have changed. After much study of the Bible... it's just a book of mostly ripped off stories, legends and concepts from throughout cultures/history.

  If there is a god that has the power to stop the misery much of humanity suffers under and he isn't doing it???

  He isn't worth worshiping.

  Oh, as a former elder, I was a victim of the expensive "hospitality" arrangement many a time.

  Nothing says 'hospitatility' like ASSIGNING someone to take the speaker out.

  E-Watchman? Thoughts?

  i stumbled upon the website e-watchman today and while i didn't have time to read over everything i found this thoughts so far quite interesting.

  recently when reading matthew i can't help but feel that jesus warnings about the pharisees also applied to the gb and elders.

  actually everytime jesus brought them up i realized how similar they are.

  there's a lot of talk right now about how stupid it is to have jws hand out leaflets with urls on them.

  "why go to someone's door to tell them they can visit a web site that lets them ask for someone to come to their door?

  " well, i'm sorry, but i have to weigh in with a contrary opinion here on how clever the society is.

  Yeah......for the mindless, which is exactly who they are targeting.

  You would have to literally suspend all thought.....ALL thought.....to hand someone a tract and say you would back it with your life.

  Jehovah's Witnesses are one of several human tragedies. It's a study in laziness and chosen ignorance.

  I would be willing to bet that the majority of JW's never visit their own website.
