I have finally figured ot how a lot of JWs gain more members besides having more kids...

i've noticed that when a bible study is conducted, when worldly people have questions a lot of jws say that there question is covered later in the book.

that way, the worldlys get stopped in there tracks all the while feeling like there questions are getting answered while the assimilation takes place.. they either forget there question or the book tells them what the answer is without either giving them biblical proof or twisting scriptures.

i've noticed a lot of paragraphs in books just telling people what the answer is without scriptures or saying something like, "surely it would make sense that...".

I've posted about my experience here and there. I talked about every study on Women Awake, a Yahoo XJW site.

The first study last almost 2 yrs. Then suddenly she stopped coming, no note no message...just quit.

A second set of sisters came by a few years later. I started a study with them. I asked about the first sister, they said she had quit coming to the meetings, but they didn't know why. Interesting, huh?

The second group, also quit coming after a few months. I would say things like....I see the point the paragraph is trying to make, but I don't agree at all. Something is seriously wrong here, don't you see it?...This just seems weird.

When I was having my 'bible studies'.(they didn't know I was an ex) I would ask questions, lots of questions. I remember one of the answers that always bugged the shit out of me was, "You'll understand once you've become more mature in your understanding." What the hell does that mean?

Marijuana---Is It That Bad?

i've never smoked tobacco or a joint in my life!

i know some regular pot smokers and they're pretty cool people.

they typically say pot is better than alcohol and that it should be completely legal.

The other day, an older woman stopped me and told me she loved my shoes, and she wished she could wear highheels. Wait, that's probably about the shoes...or maybe my taste in shoes.

My husband says I'm the smartest person he knows...and he knows a lot of people.

On my daughters' MYSPACE page, under heros:...she says, "My Mom"...that's me.

It's not bad, not bad at all.

Well sometimes it's not good, but that is just crap weed and disapointing. But what can you, call the BBB? Find another dealer.

Hubby did good

just about 45 minutes ago someone knocked on my door and hubby answered (i sat at the kitchen table and watched).

it was two "brothers" out in fs and wanting to share the good news.

hubby very politely listened and when it got to the "brother" offering a wt rag hubby tactfully declined and said that he knew what they were offering (oh the madness) but was not interested (he didn't say anything about my connection to the borg).

I found an old WT between the door and the screen. I was home, as was my husband. Evidently they didn't knock or ring the door bell. Or maybe they were PDK's. (Pretend door knockers) It was an OLD magazine too I think a couple years old at least. I was on my way out when I found it, now it's in the backseat floor of my car.

Damnit, how many times do I have to sign up for a free bible study before someone really comes?
