Ex Wife(JW) Wants to pull my 8 year old out of school and homeschool
by LowTech inso i got a call from my ex tonight and she wants to pull my daughter out of school and home-school her.
she thinks that the schools are getting so bad(in a small town of 15,000...?).
my daughter loves school she doing great in school.

The homeless sister and the $60,000 RV
by HappyGuy ini was in a congregation once which had a large number of desperately poor people in it.
there was an elderly sister, she lived near me, a sweet woman, who became homeless because her ramshackled old house caught fire.
around that same time one of the overseers (imagine that using a slavery term), i forget if it was district or circuit overseer, came to town wanting a new rv/truck combo.

I knew from an early age that something was wrong here.
Some of the best people were NOT JW's. I just knew they could not be killed at Armageddon, Why? just because they didn't go to meetings and field service. It was just one of those things I could not get past. What about the people that weren't allowed or never really got the chance to listen? What about the mentally challanged?.....and the Jah reads hearts, didn't sit well with me. Some of the best people were NOT JW's, Oh ..I already said that.

my best friend is always asking me... do you think you will go back?.
do you think its because when we were in we so vehemently proclaimed we believed it?

My wife. She is so devout to this religion, i couldn't leave while we were together, so many fights and threats, life would be miserable. I would have to leave her first. We have a horrible marriage right now even though i am going. With all things being equal we should'nt be together anyway. Without her I leave this cult in a second.
OMG..that is horrible. Leave something NOW. What the hell are you waiting for? Either her, the religion or both somthing's got to go. Don't just stand around waiting for something to push you over the edge. This might be your ONLY life...get busy living it.

I hate that it gets to me!!
by Newborn injust back from lunch and met two different former good friends from my congregation (i live in a small town) and they, of course, turned their backs on me... and it makes me feel strange and bad even though they're the ones who should really feel bad.... how can i learn to ignore it??.
makes me both sad and angry at the same time.
grrrr.

If you hide or cower away, they think they are doing the right thing, because you are hiding, feeling guilty, are ashamed, or whatever. They don't even have to consider their actions. What if you were severiouly depressed, and a little smile would have made your day? What if you were mentally ill, and their cruelness, caused you to go home and hurt yourself.
If you smile, wave, show them your new tan or boobs or car or hobby or whatever, it leaves them feeling confused. You aren't supposed to be happy when you leave the borg.

Security is a pain...

I was thinking the opposite when I opened this page. I work for an attorney and have to regularly take trips to the Court house for various reason, various departments, judges offices, ect..... I've gotten to know all the security guards,..now when they see me coming, they smile and wave me around the 'security gates'. So..if anyone needed to sneak something into the court house....
