I snagged this off of a JW facebook page:
I've been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 30 years. It's quite apparent to me that this news article is a direct attack from none other than Satan himself. Satan is very clever and will even try to use logic and twist scriptures to get Jehovah's Witnesses to leave the organization. We have to obey the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses no matter what. Even if that means sacrificing our personal relationships with family members. My own daughter has left Jehovah's organization and as hard as it is on me I know I can't speak to her. It's caused me so much pain to shun her but it has to be done. Who am I to question the authority of the Faithful and Discreet Slave? What's crazy is that she doesn't even act like an apostate but by rejecting Jehovah's organization she has clearly chosen to be on Satan's side and will be destroyed at Armageddon. Only Jehovah's Witnesses have any scriptural hope to survive Armageddon. You're either on Satan's side or Jehovah's side. Take your pick, there's no middle ground. Considering the choice of being destroyed by Jehovah or being able to live forever in a paradise Earth, which would you chose? We can't let anyone including our own flesh and blood jeopardize our relationship with the organization. So I consider this Watchtower article about avoiding apostates to be very timely.

A Question About Shunning
by Adumbra inmuch has been said on what it is like to be shunned but i would like to hear from the other side of the practice: what is it like to shun?.
just to give you my perspective: i was raised a jw, but was never baptized and in fact i was only a real zealout for about 2 years of my life.
for this reason when a friend of mine was disciplined for marijuanna possession it never even occured to me that i should shun him (i visited him the day after it was announced at the meeting to cheer him up).

I love WTWizard's comment above. I came on here just to see what everyone here was saying about Spurlock. I used to come here every day and stay for hours, reading and reading. This site totally changed my life. I even met Simon Greene and his wife in Florida in 2003. I am happy and free and doing amazing things. Come find me on facebook and I'll share it with you.
I was here for most of the before mentioned dramas. I would be sitting on the edge of me chair hitting refresh over and over. hahaha.I have had no contact with my parents since 2003. Only mininmal contact since 1985.
My daughter is going to show the Caleb/Spurlock video to her children/my grandchildren whom have never been exposed to the JW's in any way, or nor do they have any religion or bible knowledege. and record thier reaction.
When I see Caleb I see myself with the Cupie doll someone gave me. It was thrown out because of the little wing buds on her back. You know angels and all that was in 1964/65.

Thank you Jim_TX ...I'm going to get some Ginko Biloba for him this weekend.
I am NOT a neat freak.
but come on...if there are only two of us here, I wasn't here to make the mess, who else could it be?Last night, when I tried to call him on the cell phone, he kept yelling "HELLO HELLO HELLO" when he finally stoped, I said, "can you not hear me?" he said, "HELLO HELLO HELLO" I said, "why are you yelling into the phone?" he said "HELLO HELLO HELLO" I hung up.
When I got home, and asked him why he was yelling into the phone, he said, he could hear voices in the back ground like someone called him and laid the phone down and walked away.
I said, and you didn't hear me speaking to you? He said, "no., I told you what I heard." -

*waves to handsome Ohiocowboy. Give Dave a hug from us both. You both are welcome here anytime you are in this area or just traveling though. Dinner would be wonderful.
I did have him go in for an MRI when he kept complaining of headaches and would get nose bleeds. But they saw nothing. Well nothing unusual.
I was thinking about doing some research on herbs that help with memory and focus. He takes the Vitamins I get for us, so I don't think he'd have a problem taking them.
I feel safest/most secure when I know he is at work. He been wanting to retire for awhile, I've talked him into waiting 2 years or until he figures out what he will be doing with his days.
OH...and I got the burner all clean. It's almost like it never happened. almost. -

Ok..Ok..I'm over myself now.
We do have a great marriage. We've been together 20years.
But the forgetting stuff is getting really bad.He forgot me at the beauty parlor last week too. I called the house phone and his cell phone then decided to just walk home. When I got home I asked him, what does 4:00 or Before mean to you? I waited and waited and called and called. He said he was sorry. He got busy.
whatever

While it might seem like a small thing. I am truly worried about where his mind is. He has caught our kitchen on fire twice, because he forgot he had something on the stove and walked away.
During the first fire I was the one that got burned during the fire and spent a week in the hospital and a year healing.
We had the kitchen remodeled in January, partially because of the second fire. The freakin' stove is brand new, I haven't even finished paying it off.
The smell? I think it was grease. That would strongly suggest to me that he was frying up potatoes after we agreed no more fried foods. So again, he isn't being completly honest. Thanks, I hadn't even thought about that. -

No really, I'm asking.
I was not home at all last week. Only my husband was here. When we finally met up together this weekend, I turned on a burner on the stove. It started smoking because somthing had been spelt down in the stove and had not been cleaned out.
I accused him of making the mess and not cleaning it. He said he did not make a mess on the stove. And he said the last time the kitchen was cleaned, he did it.
I pointed out, that He was the only one here, it was either him or someone was coming into our home all ninja like and making the messes and leaving them.
He said, "yea I guess."I demanded he admit that he was the only one that could have possibly made the uncleaned mess and he refused and said he "did not appreciate me accusing him of lying"
I still know he did it. Why won't he just admit to it?
Signed,
It's Monday I have a busier week this week than I did last week and I won't 'be here to protect my kitchen. -

I snatched off the following post from a JW website. It made me shake my head sadly.
It was in response to a article posted on the site, but it would be the perfect JW response to the original post. So glad I'm free.I've been one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 30 years. It's quite apparent to me that this news article is a direct attack from none other than Satan himself. Satan is very clever and will even try to use logic and twist scriptures to get Jehovah's Witnesses to leave the organization.
