the audio also includes the three elders disagreeing and deliberating after she is dismissed from the room and then when they call her back in.

though it still depresses me to think of all the young ones (including my own relatives) falling under the influence of this dangerous piece of propaganda, it's at least some small comfort that the sparlock video is backfiring so dramatically among thinking non-jws.. .

A day in the life of a fading JW
by dissonance_resolved ini'm five months into my slow fade and it's going so-so.
my saturday morning was spent on a 3-mile jog and taking the kids to the park, which was great, but i'm still shuddering from the potential alternative.
at the last meeting, an elderette literally blocked the exit to prevent my escape and said she just "noticed" that we were in the same field service group and would i like to work with her in service on saturday?

I don't know how old your daughter is, but can you just talk to her in an age approiate way about what you are feeling and thinking?
I think it's ok if our kids know we are still searching for our own answers or our previous thoughts and beliefes may changed based on new information we have received.

thank you for sharing this. Love this story. Part of their sucess could be that it appears they had other interests and friends outside of the JW world. Maybe they found a happy middle ground.

I just want a divorce!
by bornfree123 inhi there, this is my first post, but i've been buzzing around this site for years.. i got married at 18, hubby was 20, i was a regular pioneer and we were talking about serving in bethel.
fast forward - i left in 2004 after a 5 year battle with my conscience, family and friends who kept insisting that i was just "weak and needed to have another bible study".
however hubby and i stayed together although it was kinda on the understanding that we would just not talk about it.
